Wouldn’t go back if you paid me. The atmosphere sucked and the food was even worse. Found a long black hair in my girlfriends food.

This diner embraces its progressive values and I love that. Highlights include getting to pose with cut-outs of Harris and Waltz, being greeted by a friendly cut-out of Bernie on the way to the bathroom, the illuminated cloud scenes embedded in the ceiling tiles, and the assortment of toy dinosaurs you could choose from to adorn your table. But, how was the food, you ask? Well, it was fantastic. I had the smoked salmon hash and it was so generous and hearty it made me wish I did hard manual labor for a living. The only thing that kept me from going into an immediate carb comma was the Vermont roasted coffee, which was strong, packed with flavor and replenished regularly. I didn’t ask, but I bet everything I ate was local. The breakfast wasn’t cheap - $20 - but I suspect that’s because of the quality ingredients and perhaps — gasp! — staff are paid good wages . And, just so you know, totally worth it. A word of caution, the place is kind of tucked out of sight. So, trust Google Maps and look for the Black Lives Matter flag.

It was bad, like watching the view, but for your mouth! Looked at their vegan menu but seen a word salad instead! I decided to go dig in the trash for a piece of bread instead!
Dietary restrictions: Tried the veggie bacon and it made my little piggy cry! 🐷🐷🐽

Meals at the Hartland Diner in Hartland, VT do not disappoint. A little pricey for a breakfast but based on the quantity served you really have one meal there and one to take home with you. Even though it's a breakfast menu supposedly, it has a lot of items that play well for lunch. Don't forget about a slice of pie as well - all the dishes are home made down to the sauces. Some might think the decor a little funky but if you read the background on the flyer at the tables you'll understand the introduction of Broadway play signs and brochures and the frequent sounds of singing and music from the kitchen.

Scary place, food sucks, I knew Vermont was kinda hippy like but these people are beyond that who run place, very dicriminating and if they feel dont like you they will mess with your overpriced food that a 3 year old can make better in the playdoug kitchen center. save your money and go elsewhere, place will be shut down soon anyway, very dirty
