I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with Luke from The Hindquarter who provided the catering for our wedding. From the initial intro email to the last late night slider, every aspect was exceptional!
The menu was a perfect blend of flavors and options that catered to all of our guests, including dietary restrictions. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor and they absolutely NAILED the family style dream I was holding onto.
The staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and friendly, ensuring that everything ran smoothly on the big day. They worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator, allowing us to relax and enjoy our celebration without a worry. They also set up a dreamy ceremony site. They did it all on one of the hottest days of the entire summer and everything STILL exceeded our expectations!
What truly stood out was their commitment to making our vision a reality. They listened to our preferences and incorporated personal touches that made the dining experience uniquely ours.

We hired Hindquarter for our September wedding and they absolutely blew us away. From the beginning, HQ was communicative, efficient, and knowledgeable. Their expert chef carefully curated a customized menu for our event. They are flexible and willing to work within your budget and dietary needs. Our tasting was fantastic and enjoyable. Our actual wedding day was perfect. The appetizers, the organization, the staff, the meal, everything was completely perfect. we got SOOOOO many compliments on our food. If you are looking for a fantastic catering company and food that will blow your guests away, look no further!
We hired The Hindquarter for our rehearsal in August 2024 at the Notch House in Westmore, VT. Their staff was friendly and professional. The food and presentation were absolutely phenomenal. Everything was so fresh!
Not to mention, they pulled off our meal in a hurricane. We were able to focus on having fun and entertaining our guests; it's like we didn't even know there was a storm going on. A huge huge shout out to your team for making our rehearsal dinner a massive success!
Ummm, unbelievable! My wife and I had them cater our wedding last weekend and they blew everyone out of the water with all vegan food! Everyone we talked to brought up how amazing the food was first thing. We are so so happy we went with them! They are professional, cool, and such good chefs! I wish I could eat that dinner every night forever hah. Book them!!!! You’ll be so happy you did :)

Luke was very accommodating in helping us pick out a menu for our wedding that we were very excited about, and it turned out even better than we could have hoped! The staff was great and numerous guests have since mentioned that it was the best wedding food they've ever had.
Wow wow woww! Could not have been more happy with the food and service at our wedding celebration. We got so many comments from guests saying it was the best wedding meal they’d ever had. The charcuterie and Mediterranean style appetizers were a work of art. The “feast” was INCREDIBLE with the best salmon I’ve ever had. It was really cool seeing the grilling and prep outside. Thank you so much to Luke, Megan and the rest of the team! It was awesome :)
The Hindquarter offers an absolutely amazing catering experience. Chef Luke Stone and his team turn out amazing wood-fired menu items, provide excellent customer service, and are all around wonderful people. They prioritize locally grown/raised/made products from reputable sources, and otherwise invest in quality items for anything non-local. As a wedding planner I hire this team as often as possible to serve my high-end clientele and the clients are never disappointed. In fact, I am continually met with “best food I have ever had at a wedding”. Shoutout to Hans, Meg, Forrest and the rest of the team for being all-stars. Looking forward to the 2024 season!
We got married in Vermont in October but are from Toronto so we didn't have an opportunity to go down and taste the Hindquarter's food before booking them. Although some thought it was a risky move, it could not have turned out any better. The Hindquarter did a fantastic job with our wedding food and every guest I spoke to since has raved about the food (and has been jealous that they are not also getting married in Vermont so that they can book the same caterer!). I didn't think that the food would be something I would remember about my wedding day, but thanks to the Hindquarter I can say that I will be pining for that meal forever!!

From the very first phone call to last bite of the very few leftovers, The Hindquarter knocked it out of the park. I am speechless except for this: they were helpful and communicative throughout the whole planning process and I couldn't imagine doing it without them. Dozens of guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. One said, "This is my new favorite restaurant."Highly recommend reaching out ASAP, they are so great. 10/10.
We loved our experience with The Hindquarter. They helped us craft a personalized menu for our wedding, without question. They even made a sauce based off our family’s recipe, which was such a special touch. The food came out amazing and all our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. They were a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them.
We booked Hindquarter for our wedding after everyone told us to book them, and we couldn't be happier that we did! Not only were they incredibly easy to work with - Luke and Megan are so flexible and on top of everything - the food was OUTSTANDING. We were blown away by our tasting, and the food was just as amazing at the actual wedding for 160+ people.We are vegetarians, so we wanted to put forward a veg-heavy menu. We offered chicken as the only meat entree, and our guests could not stop talking about how amazing not only the chicken was, but also the lentils and potatoes. Everyone has told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had.Initially, we were nervous to do a buffet, but the buffet turned out beautiful and did not look like your standard buffet table. Everyone moved through the buffet lines quickly - it was incredibly well managed.If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity, book Hindquarter!
Luke, Megan, and everyone else involved with our wedding catering were absolutely fantastic. They knew exactly what they needed, had recommendations for us on timeline and other items we may have overlooked, and also...the food was unreal. We were so excited to have a caterer that used local ingredients, and we were not disappointed. Every single item that came off the fire was creative, perfectly executed and exquisitely plated. Standouts were peaches and cream with little buttermilk biscuits, halibut, the street food stationary starter, porchetta...I mean come on! It was easily better than most restaurants I've been to, and to execute that plating and presentation in a buffet is really special. Anyway, I'm gushing, but if you're lucky enough to book Luke and crew just know you are in for a treat!
I work for a different catering company and did bar service for an event they were catering. Not only was the food amazing!! But they were all SO kind, friendly and generous. I highly recommend The Hindquarter!
