One of best restaurants in the area! Sad to read that you are closed because of the floods. Certainly hope you reopen soon!

The place looks nice. Our waiter was very friendly, and so was the busboy. Other staff members weren’t as friendly. The price point did not match the quality. The prices reflected a meal with finer cooking and attention to detail. The chicken was dry and over cooked, the salad was nothing special, the crème brulee tasted of freezer burn, and my scallops were very chewy. For many points of our duration, no staff member was in the dining room. At once point I tried getting another waitress attention and she ignored me, and she Ended up throwing something and huffed not having a good time. The staff seemed chaotic.Edit to add- yes I had an allergy. Which is why I have 2 star instead of 1. I have every means to rate as I see fit. The waiter we had as mentioned, was phenomenal. The chicken the OTHER person ordered without allergies was dry and bland. My salad, if I’m paying for the price point should have shaved park instead of grocery level dusted parm. It was hard to voice my concerns when no one was in the dining room or willing to look my way when I was trying to find someone. The prices are too high for quality given.

Food was decent, but not worth the price. Family of 4 ate and cost was $300. They tell you after you get receipt that 3% was added for back staff. Server wears ball cap for higher end restaurant. Had to pay extra for salad, and only got potato or veg of day, not both.

Highlight of our trip to Vermont. We were here for a birthday dinner and were happy that we chose this place. Food was amazing and the service was awesome. A definite A++ restaurant.

Avoid...The online prices are much lower than on the menu you are handed.Plus, 3% fee added by owner who wants customers to pay his back of the house staff additional money which he is too cheap to pay.See the bottom of my receipt to read his rhetoric.

Not happy with The Bait And Switch which occurred. We went online and read the entire menu then went inside and realized all the actual pricing was substantially higher(up to twenty-five percent).I asked Robert, our waiter why this happened as my Fiancé stated it wasn't fair and I stated it was bait and switch.Robert replied "I've heard this before and I'm on your side but it's what the owner wants." Robert then stated we were looking at the Summer Menu onlineWe found out that our waiter was NOT on our side when Melanie complained that her Salmon tasted too oily and like butter and Robert merely walked away without offering another piece of Salmon, nor a discount or even a free dessert. But wait, there's more...see attached photo of the rhetoric that is an additional 3% charge, fee, "customer pays more to make up for a terrible owner who doesn't appreciate the people who help the business (OWNER) make money."Why should customers pay this when, (We'll call him SAM), is the one who needs to pay his Back Of House staff a fair wage?Robert, you need to take care of the patrons and not patronize. You had no desire or ability to satisfy your customers. Rhetoric forced me to diminish your tip by 3% and more and I generally tip 22%.We will not return despite me enjoying my steak and potato.

unfortunately all the hamburgers on the table were burnt, we asked for medium and mendium well, we got a well done and the rest was burnt, for a 25 dollar burger it's pretty sad...
Really impressed with the steakOverall good experienceCan recommend this place
Came here for dinner and good thing I went early (6p). They were super busy. Not surprising considering it was Saturday during ski season. Was sat relatively quickly. Server was very quick, efficient and friendly. My filet was a little over cooked (I asked for medium), but it was still very good and not worth sending back. The mashed potatoes were fine, nothing extravagant or overly delightful. My wife's meal (fish) was good as well. Bacon wrapped scallops were very good though. The price of the meal was a little overblown for what you're getting. I get it though, they're the only show in town, so....it is what it is. However, the 3% fair server tax (or whatever it's called) is BS. They charge an automatic 3% tip. Huh? what's up with that. Just know about it before you go blindly handing your CC over to the waiter and then proceed to tip your usual amount.

Didn’t get the steak which is their claim to fame but hamburgers we’re good, fish and beef stroganoff A bit pricey for four with 2 being burger’s at $250.00 But quick friendly waiter
My husband and I come here often. Not only does Sam’s have great food, they’re typically open longer and later than most other establishments. Additionally, both Tracy and Anne are amazing bartenders. Both have welcoming, pleasant banter and hustle their buns off to provide exceptional service to everyone.
Had a lovely dinner at sams with a friend. There wasn’t a wait and our server was very pleasant and attentive. We had the French onion soup, Caesar salad, hanger steak and ny sirloin. Also don’t forget to try their cocktails and desert!
We enjoyed a great dinner at this restaurant to celebrate new year’s eve. We liked it so much that we also went there at our last day in the area. The menu has great steak and seafood choices with many appetizers and salads that all look very delicious. Our food came with great presentation and tasted really good. Service is friendly. The ambience is relatively casual, but still fine dining and comfortable. It is a bit pricey but I still recommend this place.
We absolutely love Sam's. Every meal we have there is cooked to perfection! Best steakhouse we have ever experienced!!
