Wendy at Stemwinder catered my son’s wedding for 100 people and the food was amazing! The appetizers were raved about…especially the mini pizza bites. The grilled marinated short ribs were so tender and juicy and incredibly flavorful! And the dirty potatoes were so tasty! The staff was so friendly and courteous to our guests! And Wendy was so flexible and easy to work with during our planning! I highly recommend Stemwinder for catering!Vegetarian options: Stemwinder also made sure we had plenty to eat for our gluten free and vegetarian guests!

Cozy, delicious farm to table! All the dishes had an excellent flavor profile! Would highly recommend the deconstructed eggplant and flourless chocolate cake! The icing on the cake was The Bee’s Knees Cocktail!

We had a reservation for New Year eve and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, so delicious that we ordered more. The new year pizza was really a hit ….It was unique. It was crowded but our guy was efficient! (And btw if you go to a restaurant , you want to take your time with your friends and family and being able to talk to them if the service slow down… ) so not an issue for us at all, but it was fast anyway. Food and all was a perfect experience!
We’ve dined here many times and always had a great experience, so we decided to host our wedding weekend welcome party/rehearsal dinner. The food was AMAZING. May as well have been individually ordered meals, the food was that well prepared. Perfectly cooked, tasted delicious, from start to finish. Bartenders were super accommodating, handled the crowd dropped off at the start by shuttle bus like pros. Thanks to co-owner Wendy for helping us plan months in advance. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining or event experience!

This place is awesome! We loved it. Came here for dinner after a winter day on the mountain. The place has great ambiance, and the wait staff was super friendly. We sat on the second floor which feels very lodge/cabin-like. The food was delicious: we ordered the mixed green salad with watermelon radish, a thin crust pizza with spicy spinach, and the rolled pork and beef brasciole. Everything was so tasty, including the wine. They have a very nice selection of glasses of wine and options that pair well with their menu items. After dinner we went down to the bar and had a drink and the whole evening was wonderful.

We visited Stemwinder for the first time this weekend & it was fantastic! The atmosphere is very welcoming— almost like you’re eating at a friend’s house. The 4 of us ate at the bar & Mary did a wonderful job of making recommendations (the soup…the steak… the potatoes!) and keeping our drinks full. I really can’t wait to go back & try something else on the menu. I’m baffled that someone took the time to write a bad review— the food was some of the freshest I have had recently & it was just all so flavorful and delicious.

Had the most lovely time here on weekend trip up to the mountains. We made reservations ahead of time as not many places around town allow for them. Got several dishes and just shared everything- nothing disappointed! We got the dirty potatoes, the ravioli, the salad and two specials. One was fried polenta with mushroom sauce and the other was a pork belly over veggies and rutabaga purée.
Delicious and inventive menu (we ordered one of everything on the menu!) and a great wine selection. Cozy and charming environment that really evokes a perfect alpine setting. Highly recommend!

Great experience, guys night out, that is with me and my 7-yr old. Early reservation that they squeezed in. Great food, beautiful service, local feel. Nice cocktails. Desserts were incredible. Good apres ski. I still have no idea how you make a reservation, but it's worth it to find out!

Decent wine list but the food is nothing to write home about and the service on a recent Friday night was borderline unacceptably slow. It is nice that they have space for a bigger party but it seems like they don't have enough staff to effectively serve that bigger party. I'd go back if I need a place for a bigger group and if it's likely to be a slower weekend, but otherwise it's not worth the 45-minute drive in my opinion.

Good food. Pretty rich. Appetizers big enough to be entrees ... you could easily split an appetizer between 2 people. Food generally very good. Wine selection is decent.
