I was so sorry to learn that they are closed now. I believe they're just takeout. After my engagement in Vermont last year my fiancé & I stopped in to celebrate at Tavola. The place was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! I hope and pray that they are able to re-open for my wedding this winter because I would love to have our dinner there. Good luck Tavola. You're the best restaurant in Southern Vermont!

Best Italian I've had in the area. Ordered the chicken parm and fried mozzarella. Outstanding sauce.

Place looks good. covid restrictions can be frustrating but are very important. For whatever reason though Tavola would not allow my family to come visit as TWO separate groups of four to celebrate a birthday. We have all been tested negative recently. Why are two random groups of four safer than two groups that already quarantine together?! Extremely rude on the phone. Mangiamos was excellent anyways so guess we got lucky

My husband and I recently went away for a long weekend in Ludlow, VT. We had dinner at La Tavola and it was excellent. The owners Fernando and Sao are extremely nice and personable. The atmosphere and food was extraordinary. The best Italian food I have had. I even got the last piece of Sao's almond torte which finished off the meal perfectly. If you are in the area you should definitely go, you wont be disappointed!

This is Very attractive restaurant with a warm ambience. Excellent Italian food! Very pleasant and helpful service. A very nice surprise to find such a wonderful restaurant tucked up here in Vermont. Can’t wait to come back to visit Ludlow and will definitely not miss coming back La Tavola Italiana!

We were really hungry and all the other restaurants were super crowded and couldn't accommodate us. This was such a lovely surprise a little bit outside of town which was perfect because it was closer to our lovely hotel the Echo Lake Inn. We had a wonderful meal of super fresh ingredients and the service was terrific they couldn't have been nicer I would absolutely recommend this terrific Italian restaurant when ever you're in the Ludlow area.Great Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra music in the background as well!

The bartender Glena is amazing and the food is always the best. Want authentic Italian food in Vermont? Look no further! Come here you won't regret it!

We ate here last weekend, the food was average. One out six meals was very good. The wait staff was a bit aggressive trying to get us to order more food. They also brought us bottle of wine that was $30 more expensive than what we ordered. Unfortunately, we drank two bottles and didn’t realize they did this till we got the bill. We had clearly pointed to the cheaper wine on the wine list when we ordered. Will not be returning.

Everything was wonderful with the exception of the "frantic" blonde waitress who yelled at the lovely young girl who sat our party. No employee should be yelled at in front of diners/customers!

We came as a party of 2 on an off-peak ski weekend. When we walked in at 8 pm, almost half of the tables were empty, which we thought would be a good sign that we would be seated promptly! We stood there for a few minutes before a waitress came up to us, asking what our reservation was under. We said we didn't have a reservation, to which she turned us away saying "We are far too busy, we can't seat you unless you have a reservation." We walked out completely confused, and checked the website to see if they were a "reservations only" place. We felt 8 pm was not too late, given that we were a small party and the hours are listed until 9:30 pm. There is NO mention anywhere that you must have a reservation to be seated. The restaurant was very clearly NOT busy and it appeared that they had more than enough wait staff to cover their tables. We only got the impression that they did not want to seat us because it would be more work for them. As an excited and hungry repeat customer, this was an extremely disappointing experience and I am not sure I will dine here again. That being said, I do enjoy their food, but apparently you NEED a reservation if you want any chance of being seated, even on an off-peak weekend.

Honestly, I would eat at Tavola Italiana any time I was in the area. The food was VERY good. I won't say it was the best food I've ever had, but it was damn good. We only had one appetizer (the Eggplant Rolatini) - and while I would have liked the Eggplant cooked a little more/maybe a little crispier, the filling and sauce were well above par. The salads were as expected -- very tasty. The entrees and dessert is where I was completely sold on Tavola. The veal was perfect -- scallopini exactly as you would expect for the price charged. The pasta dishes (Vodka sauces, red sauce, Al Fredo) were all excellent -- in truth, the Vodka sauce was perfect). And the Chicken Parm -- which in truth is difficult to truly make a stand out, was excellent, the chicken was a perfect sized piece, cooked perfectly. The desserts, most of which were home made were the perfect was of finishing the meal. (Their take on Key Lime Pie was amazing, Tiramisu was expertly made, an Almond Torte that made you want beg for more). In my experience, one of the beauties of going out for Italian food is that it is a safe choice -- you typically expect that the food will not fall below a certain level, but I also believe it is difficult to get truly high quality/very well prepared Italian food (regardless of where you are). Tavola is the exception to the rule in my book -- excellent food, very good service, reasonable prices. If you are near Okemo and in the mood for a great Italian meal this is the place to go.

Wonderful family run Italian restaurant. Very good food and fantastic service. A very pleasant surprise dinner place near Okemo mountain.

This restuarant has a very authentic touch to all of the dishes. The high ceiling and roominess helped keep the noise level down, even though it was packed when we visited for dinner over the holidays. All of the pasta dishes were fresh and the sauces wonderful. Will go again next time we are there!

We’ve been to La Tavola several times last year and twice this year. On weekdays the service is attentive and prompt. Requests are listened to and you might even get a little desert on the house. Duuring holiday periods and weekends servers may seem overworked and things take a bit longer. At all times portions are more than generous. Some dishes are better than others. Stick to the standards and you should be happy.

4.75 stars. Had a great dinner here with three guests. Staff was excellent and very responsive. All of our entrees were great, including the mussels fra diavolo, veal parm and the veal Sorrentino.
