The most amazing omelette I have ever had. My friend had a cinnamon bun that looked delicious too. Simple place with fabulous food. I wish I lived near by it!!

We visited The Hatchery for breakfast while passing through Ludlow. It's a quaint restaurant that looks small from the outside but actually has plenty of seating inside. We signed in on the iPad at the counter and were seated after a short 15-minute wait.

Coffee and drinks are self-serve at the bar. Our order was taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly; however, we didn’t see our waitress again until we asked for the bill, which was a bit disappointing.

The bacon was delicious, and the cinnamon roll French toast was a standout! The hashbrowns, on the other hand, were too thick and undercooked for our taste. The portions were generous — plenty for two people — but the final bill came to $68.64 (including tip), which felt a bit pricey for breakfast.

That said, I really love their charming wooden menu and would consider returning to try other items.

The crab cake sandwich had authentic Maryland flavor and little filler. The crab cake was as big as the bun, a good deal for the price. This Marylander approves!

We like to come here for breakfast. Bacon was delicious. We liked the eggs and toast and English muffins. Coffee was good too.

We did not like the home fries. They were very dry. We split the cinnamon roll as a group. It was ok. It was really big and had a good amount of frosting.

The staff were very nice and helpful.

Cute local place, we enjoyed. Great fresh squeezed orange juice, very generous servings, filling American diner menu.

I walk in holding my tiny puppy in my arms, just wanting to get a coffee to go, and instead of a warm greeting, the one and only thing the woman running the place said was “we do not allow dogs in here.” Not a “hi! I’m so sorry, can do coffee to go but we unfortunately can’t have dogs” or ANY other warm greeting - just straight up rude.

I would have never expected that from a small town cafe in Vermont. Bye Felicia!

Four of us shared the Waffle with “Fireworks” - red strawberries, white whipped cream, and blue blueberries - it was delicious. We also shared the signature omelette: Cilantro Pesto, and loaded it up with black beans (+$3) as recommended and ordered the spuds “funky” - with cheddar and onions (+2.50) - very yummy. A side of bacon, two coffees, a hot cocoa, and an Arnold Palmer (drinks are self-serve) rounded out our breakfast.

This might be my new favorite breakfast place.

Cilantro omelette (with black beans): Savory, well-filled, a good lime flavor in the beans. Thought I wouldn't enjoy the monotony in texture but the flavor certainly made it worth it (and there was a perfect amount of pico to boot). The pictures don't do it justice. Like a little present.

Apple Butter Omelette: Sweet but not too sweet. The eggs themselves were not seasoned in any particular way but were cooked to order and had nice layers.

Cinnamon Roll French Toast: You see it in the picture. It's very good, very filling.

Pancakes: Fluffy and do not fall apart without a satisfying tear. They also serve with Sugar Bob's which makes it all the better.

The marbled rye is to die for. Buttered and well-toasted, has a soft bite to it.

Homefries were unique, not our style but very good for folks who like all the parts of their potatoes.

Bacon was perfectly cooked, so was the sausage.

We are full but not feeling sick at all. Worth it for a trip before a good hike or ski!

Very tiny casual eatery. Huge portions. Typical diner breakfast fare. No wait for me but filled up fast and had a line quickly
