Late October visit, perfect location with a beautiful restaurant for dinner and breakfast. First time to kingdom trail system for mountain biking. Everyone super helpful and nice to out-of towners. Nice to have a mountain bike shop with a bar next to the Wildflower Inn. Visiting from Colorado we finished the trip with a nice loop drive up through Willoughby Gap, Island Pond and back down through East Burke. Perfect.
Super accommodating for gluten free. Outside bar has loads of options like ciders, settlers, canned mixed drinks. Indoors has tons of GF options: buns, pasta + ravioli? And can make most things GF.
Lovely but hostesses seemed highly unprepared for busy foliage season, no greetings to line of people entering or update on if seating was even possible. I have been here several times before.I've never had a bad meal or experience. We chose not to eat in particular as it just seemed they were unprepared for tourist season , despite having empty tables. We'll be back when it slows down again! You cannot beat the ambiance!
