Best clam chowder I’ve ever had (and I was born and raised in in New England and only moved away recently for work. I travelled to Maine a ton as a kid). It was so creamy, they do NOT skimp on the clams.
I just wish they had more seating indoors :// we gave up and went outside but I can’t imagine doing that in the winter or when it rains.

I'm a local and brought some out of town friends in for coffee today and was really disappointed by how rude the staff was to us :( I've worked the food service industry my whole life and I'm always kind and a good tipper. There was no reason to treat my friends (all lovely young women from Germany) so poorly. One of them was actually too afraid to ask for the vanilla flavor in her coffee when it was forgotten. Such a bummer. I'll be suggesting other places to friends from now on.

Came to visit Manchester and wanted coffee. Was headed to Starbucks to play it safe. Hesitant to try Colburn Cafe as the reviews were not great(4.3 stars). Although, i am glad we did!!! Definitely give it a try!! We got the parmesan leek and spinach feta danish’s and and it was delicious. Coffee looks milky because it is decaf- delicious… also got an iced coffee and delicious as well!!☺️

Cute little cafe located inside the Northshire bookstore. Quite a few menu items were unavailable which I’m assuming is due to running out of the ingredients. Would not recommend the Winter BLT; it had a curry sauce that did not complement the flavors of the BLT sandwich. Small selection of teas, coffees, cider, and assorted pastries. Wish they also offered flavored lemonades as an option.

This Café is located in one of the nicest bookshops I have ever been to. It has a wonderful ambience. The staff is super friendly and remembered us as returning customers after just one visit. The espresso is by far the best in the area and my husband enjoyed the matcha latte. We are only here for one week, but this is a mandatory stop every day we are here 😋.

The rudest service at this place, I didn’t even wait for the coffee I paid for and sadly I left a tip. I understand if people are busy but there’s two people in the whole place and the barista was extremely harried and rude.

My husband and I stopped in for a small lunch (as promoted in the cafe window). We ordered a cup of soup, grilled cheese, and breakfast burrito, and we were asked if a 20 minute wait for food would be okay. Being on vacation and not in hurry, we said that was fine. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food without any explanation or apology.
Watching the team, they moved quickly getting out drinks and soups, but they also told many people 20-30 minutes for food that took far longer to come out.They should probably just stick with what they’re good at— drinks and pastries.
The food was tasty, but not anything exciting for the price.
