The tables were not set at all in a festive way like the website was promoting. It was like being in a diner with table clothes. Service was zero. The waiter did not even propose something to drink but only showed up once, with the check, including a 20% gratuity, for doing nothing. Never again.

Twenty years ago people went to the Colonnade for Thanksgiving and it was spectacular. The ice sculptures, the scents, choices of carving stations, side dishes and deserts were amazing! Always a great experience!

Unfortunately, like so many things these days, last Thursday's experience at the Colonnade was not what it once was. I paid 300.00 for two people and cannot remember a worse dining experience. The food, with what little choices there were - was, in a word - terrible. The turkey was dry and tasteless. Diners chose from a limited selection of side dishes and carving stations. One of my favorites, turkey stuffing, was so bad I couldn't finish it. Very disappointing. I was warned by people that the Colonnade was no longer what it once was, I should have listened! Not recommended for Thanksgiving for sure!

we decided to try the equinox for a change. The atmosphere was very nice however for the price we paid vs the quality of the food it was disappointing. One of my dishes was burnt and several other dishes were so so. We paid over $400 for 4 of us to eat. I would not go again!

The mandatory 20 percent gratuity would probably stop me from coming back for any of their holiday buffets. Considering your largely serving yourself, the wait staff should be hovering over your table however we only saw ours three times, once when we sat to get beverages, once to clear plates between courses, and when the bill was presented. Water glasses were left emptied and had to be asked to refill, plates were left on the table for extended times and fresh silverware wasn't offered. This doesn't deserve that gratuity and there was no option to change it.

I almost cancelled a reservation I had because I was hoping to sit somewhere close to the water. I am so glad I didn’t. The food was great-everyone in our 5 person party enjoyed their meals. Service was amazing, Caroline was a very attentive server and a sweet. Very kid friendly atmosphere! Thank you got a great meal!

This restaurant is actually currently closed and I was told, not going to open for the summer season. We had made reservations months in advanced and planned on coming from CT for a significant anniversary. I had seen online that it was closed and we called to ask about the situation and were told they would get back to us. They never returned our call. Fortunately or unfortunately, I was going through Manchester on May 29th and stopped and asked about the situation and the front desk assured me they would be reopening in 3 days. Open Table continued with their normal contact, their menu was still posted on their website and we showed up for our reservation only to be told the restaurant was closed and the plans were never to reopen for the summer season. Do yourself a favor and patronize one of the other restaurants in town. There are other fine choices. The only reason I was given is that they cannot staff the venue due to their under market wages. Evidently for the ski season they contract for out of market labor. So many red flags here….

Our waitress was short with us and snappy. It was Easter and busy but I was surprised how rude she was. I felt like I was being scolded. Food was good and the savory buffet was a great addition.

We had a lovely dinner at The Chophouse. The service was wonderful despite the fact that they had a full house due to the early spring winter storm. Everything in town was shut down and we were expecting things to be challenging for a restaurant in a hotel where people were pretty much stranded for the evening - but it was a lovely evening and the restaurant handled everything so well. Eating there is an experience, so I would not go if you don't have at least an hour to an hour and a half for a fine dining experience. I hope I am able to visit again someday. The food and service were outstanding. Highly recommend the chicken roulade and the sea bass!

We are lucky and blessed to live, work, & play in Manchester, VT The Equinox Hotel, is a classic, historical, magical building, with the most dedicated and professional employees! From The Head Chef Joseph, his assistant Chris, our waitress, Oneilia , Carmen, & Jack. They made s feel at home, while serving an outstanding dinner. Can't wait for our next visit.

It saddens me to have to write this review. Dinner at The Chop House was probably the WORST Service and experience we have ever had. This is too bad because when we finally (!!) received our entrees, they were actually very good -- food was excellent. But the entire thing was overpriced and the Service (especially for those prices!) was just abysmal -- in EVERY way. Even though the dinners were good, because we had to wait so long, and were so ignored, it colored the entire experience and you just felt like -- well, just let me eat something for dinner, so I can get out of here and go to bed. You shouldn't feel that way when you're paying top dollar for a dinner out. We suspect mostly the management was just pretty awful . Yes, it was the long February weekend, but I'm sorry -- a restaurant in a large "resort hotel" in Vermont should know how to anticipate that and plan for it. No excuses. Given what you're charging customers and guests for rooms, and for meals, HIRE more people, hire GOOD people, good management and pay them appropriate wages in order to retain them. No excuse. A real shame.

Terrible service, sat there for two hours, saw the waiter once, never saw the food. Our salads were delivered and then nothing for over an hour. Left without getting entrees. Very disappointing.

No place to hang winter coats. Music speaker on mantle was very close and very loud. The chairs were worn and the cushioning was gone. I was too low for the level of the table. the drinks could have been better. The steak was a little tough. No longer has that special place appeal.
