I really enjoyed my Creole Gumbo and barbecued beef brisket, all very delicious. My wife enjoyed her Shrimp and Grits. That night our food was delayed (about 40 mins), I think it was b/c of a large private party. The server was very friendly and helpful. Despite the delay I look forward to coming back.
Fried chicken dinner was excellent but the brisket and bb ribs were served cold. Reservation was at 6:30, seated at 6:50 and our dinner wasn't served until 8pm—unacceptable!!
Being from the South, can say it was excellent southern cuisine. Everything was delicious and we left full. Definitely recommend.
The food was very good. Unfortunately, our table was not ready when we arrived for our reservation. Once we were ready to be seated we needed to request a staff person wipe down the seats as there was food on most of the chairs and bench. We waited a very long time for our appetizers and even longer for our dinner. We were seated for close to 2 hours before our dinner was served, which made for a very late (9:30 pm) dinner. We were happy with the quality of our food, however the experience was dimmed with the long wait time which resulted in a late night for my family and our guests that we were hosting for the weekend. Our server was kind and appreciative of our patience. The host was exceptional in his customer service.
Samantha was the nicest and most helpful server I've ever had! Really, she went above and beyond. Also -- plenty of easy parking, which was *great!*. The food arrived super quickly and we were ... astounded by the portion sizes. My partner liked the pulled pork sandwich. I had the double meat (pulled pork and brisket -- both really good) with 2 sides, and we also ordered what turned out to be a cup of baked beans. The sauces really perked up the meats and were very tasty! I couldn't finish the brisket, and it made a great lunch the next day.
I never expected great barbecue in the middle of the Green Mountains. The brisket was superb and I have had brisket from Franklin’s in Austin, TX. I prefer Pearl’s. They have a large selection of bourbons and they make a great Old Fashioned. Our server Betty was wonderful and she made a great presentation of the Bacon Clothesline. We will probably make the 3-1/2 hour trip just for the brisket.
This is our second time there in two months. It is becoming a favorite place to eat when we stay in that part of Vermont. Their cornbread and homemade butter is always a treat. The bartender even gave us a second plate of the cornbread. Super friendly atmosphere. Too many great choices to select from and the portions are plentiful. We are 2-2 with in regards to great wait staff. The bartender also willing to make two custom cocktails. Great place and has to be on the list for consideration when within 20-30 minutes of Manchester, VT. They were even open on Labor Day evening.
The food took so long, the hostesses weren’t the greatest and they forget food and didn’t get orders right. We expected a wait but not 2 hours.

Absolutely loved this place! First time at Pearl’s and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was spot-on, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. We had our dog with us, and our waiter even brought him a bowl of water—such a thoughtful touch. The bacon was incredible, the biscuits were perfectly done, and the BBQ was right on point. Cocktails were well-crafted and served with care. I’ll tell you what—this is some of the best Southern food I’ve had, even compared to spots down South!

Pearl's has been around 3 years but we've just discovered it and we're so excited! Excellent southern comfort food, some inventive dishes (bacon clothesline), good cocktails, nice atmosphere inside and out. But it's the staff that are SO nice that make it even better! Great for a casual date or big group dinner.

Excellent food!!! The catfish is tremendous!!! Our waiter was also excellent!! I highly recommend Pearls Place and Pantry!
My husband and I dined here for the first time and will definitely return. We were warmly greeted when we entered, immediately shown to an indoor table. Our waiter (unfortunately we did not get his name) was not only attentive and very efficient but also friendly, engaging us in conversation throughout our meal. He insured that we got our food in time to enjoy before needing to leave to make a play at the Dorset Theayer. Complimentary cornbread fingers were delicious are was our crab and shrimp in avocado appetizer and Pearl's salad. My husband said his Creole Gumbo was the best he's had I definitely enjoyed my shrimp & grits. I'm pretty sure the cocktail menu cannot be rivaled anywhere. This along with outstanding service, friendly staff and delicious food guarantees a wonderful experience.
The food was outstanding! Their staff was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Will definitely be back!
Great restaurant! Our first time here and we loved it! Great starters that were unique and delicious. BBQ was wonderful. The sides were very good. We will go back anytime we are in the area.
Loved our server. Food was solid and the dining experience was good. Enjoyed our Father's Day celebration at Pearl's.
