Called & left a message - didn't hear back. Called again, no answer. Rolled up around 530 Thurs, doors were open & not a soul in sight. Called for someone to come but no one came. Upon leaving we saw someone watching us in the car park from an upper story window. All a bit strange...

Beautiful space! Difficult to choose from all the great options. We had the duck eggroll to start, the stroganoff and mahi and were very pleased.

The restaurant was close to our hotel which was perfect since there had been a huge snow drop !. I had researched the Silver Fork and was really delighted to get a reservation. The reviews were spectacular and the chef/owners bio was impressive, I live in Boston so I’m used to trying out cool new restaurants with contemporary design . It was my birthday so hence a nice treat for my girlfriend and I . The menu was eclectic, I ordered the duck and the description was great I was excited, the shupastry , homemade ice cream for desert. The portions were very humble and my food came out cold , I sent it back and the owner came out with it , it was still cold but I was hungry and my friend had plowed through hers. The owner had stated 3 staff down in the kitchen but the restaurant was half empty at 8.30 pm due to the snow storm. I was not compensated with a free drink or desert . My friend and I spent $200- , i was shocked by the excuses and the lack of opportunity to shine , it’s a low season . I hope this is picked up and you’re aware that this was a treat and it did not live up to the reviews, average 3 stars.Vegetarian options: They have a reasonable selection

Formerly the Mark Skinner Library for 100 years, the building has been creatively reborn(a few years ago) as an upscale art-filled restaurant. Buckminster Fuller designed the addition in the 1960s! Definitely make a reservation as early as you can. A number of side dishes are vegan, and we ordered the ratatouille with bread & greens and the tower of mofungo. Owners have lived in San Juan and impart the tastes and styles of this city into their cooking, a delight. We took food home, very large portions. I wondered if I would have to dress up, but styles are casual in New England, even at fancier places in cold weather, it seems. Really nice wines by the glass and bottle. Friendly service from Keller. The owners invited us to look in the kitchen which used to be book stacks. They still have the card catalog.

A fun, interesting menu that thoughtfully (and successfully) combines several cuisines, plus great service and atmosphere, make the Silver Fork an excellent option for dining in Manchester. I had a very pleasant cocktail and a really excellent tuna carpaccio to start, followed by a salmon strudel (again, very high quality fish), and finally the bread pudding souffle. I recommend all of them.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants ever. The food is always outstanding and the drinks are also excellent. The service is great and the atmosphere is so trendy and fun. The schnitzel is some of the best I’ve had and the onion soup certainly is the best I’ve eaten. I can’t fully convey just how amazing of a spot this is.

Beautiful interior of modern mixed with mid-century design and the food is beautifully presented. It's definitely a must to try when visiting Manchester. My only complaint is that it can be a hassle to make reservations and felt a little rushed while dining there.

Top 10 Restaurants in America?Oftentimes, is hard for an establishment to live up to the hype. My wife and I had been wanting to give The Silver Fork a try. We were unaware of the fame, but what drew us to it was the menu (a standout from other establishments in the area) and the setting (a former public library tastefully repurposed as a restaurant). The food has an understated, almost rustic elegance in technique and presentation; but when the kitchen executes with mastery, there is no need for fancy concoctions or elaborate presentations. In every dish we tried, it was evident the chef had carefully curated its recipe. Every ingredient made sense to our tastebuds. Portions were neither meager nor excessive, rather perfectly balanced. The setting is a charming as can be: a former public library in the middle of a picturesque Vermont village. The interior is tasteful and functional. The space is well laid out keeping with the ambience of a former library rather than a restaurant with maxed out seating.Service is highly professional, timely, and attentive but non-intrusive.The Silver Fork experience made our first dinner date of 2024 a tough act to follow. We would not presume to certify The Silver Fork as a top 10 restaurant in America, but we can say with certainty it is Top 10 on our book. A total home-run.

We hosted a party for lunch and the food was amazing. The staff was on top of everything and very kind. The kitchen was easily able to accommodate my gluten free and vegan guests. I cannot wait to come here and try their regular menu.

Manchester has a fun restaurant scene, but for us The Silver Fork is hands down the best. The setting could not be better — in a former library with high ceilings and views of Mt. Equinox. The tables are nicely spaced, which is hard to say of most restaurants these days. The owner hostess always extends a warm, Vermont welcome, as the owner chef prepares really good and interesting food. We have enjoyed dinner here a half dozen times now, and every meal has been fun. The bread pudding is as good as the rumors say it is. What a wonderful place!
