Black Diamond BBQ

We have eaten in and really enjoyed everything about the experience. But what has motivated me to write a review is the unbelievable job they did helping me put together a feast for my husbands birthday party. It was easy to communicate with the staff and owner. They gave me lots of options. I picked it up the night of - and everything was ready to go. And- the food- the food we landed on was truly insanely delicious. The brisket was out of this world. The wings were loved by everyone. The sauces- especially the maple bbq one- were SO GOOD. Everyone raved about the jalepeno cornbread. For dessert we had a tray of tiramisu - it did not disappoint. Perfectly proportioned and super yummy. We had just enough leftovers for my husband and I to snack on the next day! I highly rec eating in for a great night out and having BDB cater your next function- easy- reasonably priced- and a big hit with everyone.

We looked forward to going all week. We even checked their website and social media multiple times during the week. They updated their website that they would be closed the end of the first week of November. We drove out Friday night 10/31 and the doors were locked. They were closed and didn’t say anything about it. It is sad because we were bringing friends and told them how great the place was and it was closed. Very disappointing that they could not communicate appropriately that they were closed. I will not chance the 45 minute drive again

We stayed at the AirBnb down the road and the host gave us a $10 gift card to try out this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We ordered the specialty pizza with BBQ pork and the chicken wings. I took the recommendation of another reviewer and got the dry rub on the wings and it was incredible. This place punches above its weight and we would come back in a heartbeat.

Delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. If visiting from out of town make sure to keep a night free for dinner.

Stopped in with the family as there weren’t too many vegan options around. The house made veggie burger is nice and comes with slaw and pickles which is lovely! It would be great to see a vegan mayo and cheese but overall nice to have an option. The fries aren’t vegan unfortunately but maybe they’ll consider a fry-only fryer in the future! :)

We had Black Diamond cater our wedding this past weekend and the food was absolutely incredible! Our guests gave us compliment after compliment and the whole crew was a dream to work with. Highly recommend!

Off the beaten path, this place serves up very excellent BBQ! You won't be disappointed in the brisket in either portion size or flavor. I drove an hour and have zero regrets!

Food was good, I got the brisket sandwich, husband got the dry- rub wings. I never got silverware and so I didn't try the coleslaw. I wish there would have been a cornbread without jalapeno.
His wings were perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Went for dinner one night, it was incredibly packed and loud but I assume because it was one of the few places open. Got a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese, overall the sandwich was pretty good, if anything I'd get a bit more sauce on it. The Mac and cheese was decent but a little watery it felt like. Beware of parking if it's busy, there are massive ruts in the parking lot from being washed out and I almost smashed the bottom of my car on them.

We are from New York and are visiting Vermont for the weekend. We are staying in Johnson, VT and saw this place online and decided to stop by. The wings were the best wings I ever ate in my life. Everything I ate was worth the price. The waitress we had was extremely soft spoken and very nice to us. I wish I knew her name because I would give her a shoutout but she was looked to be in her 30s or 40s and was awesome. The homemade ranch and blue cheese was great as well as the pickles and slaw. If I am ever back this way I would definitely come again.

First time going to Black Diamond BBQ, and I was blown away by the smoked chicken wings with the maple habanero BBQ sauce. The perfect amount of heat, came with carrots & celery, and they give you 1lb. The server was extremely friendly and made certain we didn't feel rushed at any point. I'll be dreaming of these!
