I might miss the old El Toro more than anyone (washed dishes just to eat there) but I was amazed at the "new food"! Outstanding. And, say again

Under new owners! I was skeptical of the new menu but the food is DELICIOUS. I can't wait to see what they do next.

Super tasty burritos, fantastic friendly service. Also saved our bacon when a purse was left behind.

YUM!! So excited about the new menu at El Toro! Can't decide whether my favorite is the chicken taco ... the shrimp taco ... the chips and guac?!? DEFINITELY enjoyed the pomegranate margaritas!

Food is not good since they changed hands. Plus you can’t call for takeout. Worst burrito ever.

Tied with El Gato in Burlington, Vt for WORST TAMALES in Northern/Central Vermont! I grew up out west eating REAL authentic spicy Mexican so I know good tamales and always struggle to find good ones in vermont. I get excited when a "new" Mexican restaurant opens to go try them out. These two places mentioned were such a huge disappointment after learning they both use "authentic family recipes" I was expecting flavorful and good sized tamales. they would be laughed at if they tried a restaurant out west. El Gatos were not flavorlful or tasty at all and El Toro's are pencil freaking thin and mushy AND 2xs more expensive than they should be for their size. VERY disappointing...Happy to try again and change my review if either has made changes to their tamales that warrant a change in opinion...
It is not easy to find excellent Mexican food in New England, but El Toro had it. Starting with the warm chips and guacamole to enchiladas and tacos, I was very pleased. The reviews that I read on this place that the food was not spicy or Mexican were wrong. Of course, that may have been true two years ago. Now the food is great. I still love Mexican food in Texas, but El Toro was close enough.

First visit. Very tender chicken, and delicious flavor, for our 1/2 price Tuesday visit.

Great food and great margaritas (especially spicy mango)!I've been visiting El Toro since it was just the takeout kitchen and it's never failed to disappoint. It's also a really nice family run business which I feel good about supporting.

Food was great. Atmosphere was good. Restaurant appeared dirty.

Good food, if you like things extra spicy only disappointment. Great service and local beer selection.
