Recent, short trip to Newport, Vermont. Breakfast and lunch were at the Brown Cow Restaurant. Absolutely go there if you can , just check their hours first. The people who work there are warm and friendly , the food is inexpensive and delicious and the service was good even though the place was bustling . Five stars for the Brown Cow and for Newport!

Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch this is the Best Comfort Food that you will find in the region. No place comes close. Don’t come in a large group as this location is not designed for you. Tables of 2 or 4 get sat soonest. Servers are incredibly friendly and professional. The food is spectacular yet the cooks Daily Specials are where you’re in for a real opportunity to try her skills. Plan to take a Dessert To Go for later in the day. Everything is Homemade.

What an amazing restaurant. It's so hard to find a good breakfast place and Brown Cow knocked it out of the park!

Cute, little, small town diner feel. Food was good, prices were reasonable, service was friendly and quick. I went on October 15th before a long day of hiking and enjoyed myself so much i went again the next day before hitting the road back home. I will be back for sure! I recommend the Belgian Waffle with fresh, sweet, Vermont maple syrup!

Nice friendly people, but HORRIBLE food, bland, undercook, flavorless. I can't believe all the positive reviews, it seems that all the reviews are from locals who have never tasted good food in their entire life.

The service was great! The food was delicious and fairly priced. Our waitress was so sweet and courteous. 10/10 definitely will go back if I am the state again!

We stopped here for breakfast while on vacation. This is the best breakfast we've had the whole time we've been away from home. Amazing food, friendly waitress, awesome small town feels loved the place. A small wait bit so worth it.
