Typical TripAdvisor jumble on the listing with the Newport Cafe when it is listed under specialty foods. Yes on specialty foods. BUT a bigger yes on yummy things to eat in the cafe and take away for later. Q-Trip: The carrot cake is a knock out of the park. And, yes lots of free parking out front. Satiate your hunger with the fabulous Vermonter sandwich-pressed wrap. Q-Trip: Add bacon … and avocados. The Newport Market has been our go-to turnaround spot for a bite to eat on our frequent trips from Eastern Townships down into NEK. … twenty years later and we are still coming back. If not for lunch, some treats … a Capp or funky Vermont cheeses. Q-Trip: Check out the Pick ‘n Shovel around the corner. Pets second floor.
We visited this place about 6-8 times last month because it was so reliably good for food, groceries and service. A real gem.
Best beef chili! Awesome wine cellar, organic milk in glass bottles! Large bulk food selection , fresh local eggs and produce
Seemed to have alot of items plus a cafe now which is made of all healthy foods, breads, soups and desserts. The sweet chili sauce that they sold was a favorite.pastas galore fresh fruits milk eggs etc
This place is part of Newport Natural Food Store. You can choose items from the buffet or order from the kitchen. Very good food for a very reasonable price.
A bit on the pricier side, as to be expected with Organics. Everything is fresh, organic, and using local ingredients wherever possible. The market itself is a bit smaller, but probably helps ensure that fresh veggies and meat don;t sit in the store too long. Everything at the hot counter and salad bar is worth checking out, especially the surprisingly large selection of smoothies and latte's.
Excellent shop where you can find all absolutely organic fruits, vegetables and many other natural foodstuffs. Also the café is very nice.
I purchase cheese and other local items to bring home. The takeout sandwiches are great as well as any of the coffees especially the maple latte.
The Natural, part natural food store, part, coffee house and part healthy food restaurant is your "place to start" when visiting Lake Memphremagog...say that three times quickly. Steve, the owner, provides consistent quality service and choices. Sleeper alert, he has a small selection of quality wines in the basement!
Had a nice panini, vegan egg roll and a glass of Kombucha. This is the best of its type in Newport. What I liked was the good variety, healthy options, and quality ingredients. OK, some of it is industrial food, but some is not. Has tables, or take-out. Good WiFi.

Had a nice sandwich and a smoothie. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. You can also browse through the groceries. They customized our smoothie to take out all diary. Highly recommend.
Went for lunch with the family. Had tuna salad, tuna wrap, and veggie panini. Also nice variety of fresh coffee. All delicious. Relaxed setting w free WiFi.
NNF is a great little cafe. The price is reasonable and the staff helpful. Great sandwiches and wraps, smoothies and hot bar with soups. This is where the locals go to chat and eat. A friendly place...highly recommended.
The Newport Natural Market and Cafe is a great market. They have always had whatever product I was shopping for, no matter how exotic. The Cafe, however, is inconsistent. I would recommend arriving early as the longer it has been since the food was prepared seems to dictate its appeal.
We ate lunch there- soup and a panani; my panani was turkey, loaded with cheese and sauerkraut (delicious), the other panani was also turkey without the sauerkraut but also delicious. The soup was a vegetable soup, very hearty. Will definitely go there for lunch or do takeout!
