Totally enjoyed Tavern on the Hill. Nice bar, great vibes , excellent service and food was very good ! They were setting up a live music event as we were leaving so I’m sure it was even better ! I’ll definitely be back when up in beautiful Newport, Vermont !
This is by far my favorite restaurant in VT so far. It's usually quite busy. Amazing food, great portions, great prices, lovely atmosphere and frequent music events. The staff is very friendly, they'll have conversations, joke, and overall are very attentive. Personally, I want to try everything on their menu, all of it sounds amazing, and everything I've had there so far has been some of the best food I've had anywhere. Particularly I like their French fries...
We stopped in for lunch on a day in Newport. We seated ourselves and were greeted by our server very shortly thereafter. We mentioned that we liked to play cards but had forgotten our deck at home. She went out to her car and let us use her deck. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
