What a hidden gem. The restaurant is charming. We had a lovely spot in the front dining area overlooking the lake. We brought our out-of-town guests, and enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts and the saffron mussels for appetizers. Entrees were very good. The server was a pleasure, although the timing for serving was a little off (appetizers came before drinks; entrees were served before cleaning appetizer plates). We had a fantastic meal where they accommodated my shellfish allergy and still gave my husband a delicious meal full of shellfish. The waitress, Dee, was very busy but still found time to check on us and make sure we were having a great time. Overall five stars and worth the drive!
The Pier Bar is not easy to find. The sign and open flag are a house, but once approaching house you can tell it is not a restaurant. The Pier Bar is actually located at the House labeled North Hero House. Once we realized we’re to go it was easy to find hostess. We were seated quickly. Server came over and took drink order.
