Our server, Sarah, was awesome! The food was delicious and the dessert was decadent!!!
Had my birthday dinner tonight, and it was absolutely perfect! Our hostess was great, and our food was just as good! I’ve been going to The Barn for over 40 years, and it doesn’t disappoint! Even with the change of ownership, it’s just as homey as it was before!
We dine here every New Years Eve and its always been pretty good. This year was a huge disappointment. Had reservations but didnt get seated for quite awhile. After being seated it took an hour before our drinks came. Apps and dinner came and they were pretty dried out. I felt sorry for our waitress, she had difficult job keeping up. id say under staffed. I understand its a busy night but you could do better. Well be back, as i said earlier its always been a good dining experiance

Great tavern downstairs and fancy restaurant upstairs. Excellent beer tap list. Delicious food. Warm bread, too, with special butter. Pasta dish was delicious. My wife enjoyed the fun cocktail options.

Decent restaurant with great service and vibe, however, the food was abysmal. We ordered 4 entree and a cheese board, and the total was $180, we didn’t mind that price as long as the food was good, but we didn’t get that. My $37 steak was cold, the fries was good, but that costs extra. For a $37 ten oz steak, one would expect that to come with a side included, but no. The cheese board came with a variety of different cheeses which I could’ve gotten at a local market for a fraction of the price they charged, 4 slices of thin, brown apple, 4 pieces of hard bread, honey, jam, and a $6 extra cured meats. We regularly pay those prices for decent food in Boston, so seeing those prices in a restaurant in the middle of nowhere Vermont, we had high expectations, and we were ultimately left disappointed.
Parking: No set spots, gravel driveway.

When walking up you would never guess the inside was so mesmerizing and welcoming. The view outside however is just as flawlessly breathtaking as the inside. The staff extremely accommodating last minute large groups and smiles on all faces. They were all nothing but polite, sweet and great with their service skills. This quaint little gem in a nook is worth the while if you get a chance to step in and dine with them. Such a beautiful restaurant. The food was equal to the views and amazing staff. Kudos to the chefs behinds the scenes too. Thank you for such a great dining experience.

I was really looking forward to dining here, after passing this beautiful restaurant. However, I would NEVER dine anywhere where 'New Management' refused to take a poorly executed dish back, and informed a customer who complained, they would have to pay for two entrees. You better rethink, that!
Service was slow. Food was undercooked. We ordered fries which were still frozen and the special which was oyster fettuccine which was swimming in butter, overcooked noodles, gritty tiny oysters. We asked for a replacement dish and were told the new management does not take food back and we would need to pay for a second entree. Terrible experience and we brought friends which was terribly awkward and embarrassing. Do not come here.
