I have gone to them for years but recently being pregnant and having cravings for their Shepard pie I have ordered it for take out just about every other day! Can’t get enough! Also, if you get the Mac and cheese try it with a side of maple bbq so you can dip ur Mac in there!

The food is usually pretty good. I was disappointed with the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese though. It cost an extra $9 for 2 lumps of chicken that were a bit under breaded and over saturated in a sauce that didn’t taste like buffalo. Also take out make and cheese being held in a container with just aluminum foil and cardboard?

However, the staff is wonderful! Like I said they have a bunch of other fantastic food!

I manage a high end restaurant in Charlotte and the Bahn Mi at the pub is one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth.! My first bite I asked the bartender if they do their own pickling. She said yes. You can literally taste the quality in everything. I can not recommend anyplace higher. I thought not having a tv at the bar was a bad thing, but the staff is so engaging and knowledgeable I didn’t miss it. 12 out of 10 couldn’t recommend more!

A large group of us went in on Friday for the first time in almost 10 years. (A previous owner of this pub screwed over a bunch of regulars (long story). The service was stellar. We couldn't ask for anyone nicer or more accommodating. We tried a few of their special drinks and they were all good and inventive but the Goodbye Earl is the best drink I've ever had, anywhere. Everyone really enjoyed their food. We will definitely be back!

This is inflation…tired of paying for food that sucks.

I ordered the pulled pork and the falafel sandwich. The pork was sloppy, overdressed with a sweet BBQ sauce which made for a terrible meat to bun ratio and it didn’t have much cole slaw. The falafel was non existent, more like a falafel paste smeared on store bought wraps with huge chunks of raw cucumber and lettuce.

Total: $38.00 plus tax and tip.

Horrible, will never return. Stick to just music, the food is barely satisfactory.

We've eaten at Poultney Pub dozens of times, and never had a bad meal or experience. The food is way above standard bar fare. Beet salads, squash ravioli, corned beef poutine, charred pancetta and brussel sprouts. It's solid, well executed and well presented food. Big tap list, local regional bands many evenings, friendly staff, clean. The pub is an asset to Poultney and the surrounding area. Best place to eat dinner within a 30 minute drive, easily.

Parking: Lots of street parking on both sides of the street. Never a far walk.

Recommended dishes: Beet Salad and Nachos, Root Salad, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Chili Glazed Salmon, Bon MI Sandwich, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Hearty Cesar Salad

They say being short is confident. Ok. This place is so great, we're coming back and we are from Texas.Put differently, I'd work here for free just to learn the secret recipes and be around the great people and stellar drinks. It didn't look like much on the outside, but the reviews were spot on.

Small bar with great servers and food. Tap beers and drinks. Local place with friendly customers. We , 8 of us, came in, and 2 people moved down so we could all sit together. I like Miller Lite, but they don't have it on tap, so they let me try 1 before I ordered so I'd know if I wanted what they did have.

Parking: I think there's a lot behind bar, but I'm not sure.

Kid-friendliness: Not really. It's a bar.

Wheelchair accessibility: I would say no.

Awesome Place for Very good Food & Hospitality with live music from Locals. I enjoyed our time there. Highly Recommend. Not just your Average Pub Grub. The Grub is over and above your Normal Pub Grub with different selections Daily.
