Used to be great and historic because of Curtis. Now it's just strange on so many levels.

Good BBQ, one of a kind location and very nice people.
I don’t know how the barbecue is but they are rude. Says they’re open till eight and then when we try to order the person ask us what makes you think we’re open. Because you look open and there’s no closed sign.
What great place RIP CURTIS
Was wonderful eating Curtis bbq was really different without Mr Curtis.I'm sure he was smiling from beyond that his legacy is being carried onThe ribs were fresh juicy and tenderThe chicken was nicely cooked also tender and juicy.

The meat was very good but there BBQ sauce was way too vinagery for my taste
Old fashion BBQ for right price.
I was really expecting more from a place with so much history. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because we were there an hour before their closing time (which is 8pm according to google) but the only decent thing I ate was the ribs. The ribs and one piece of chicken were the only things left to order and they only had like 2 or 3 sides to offer. There were Flys all over the place and it wasn't very clean. The ribs were decent but it's not something I would drive a long way for.
Love the ride to Vermont from CT...the views just getting there are amazing. The Barbeque Ribs, sweet corn on the cob, baked cornbread, everything was just perfect.

Hadn't been back here since I was a teen. Only got a loaded baked potato today but it was amazing! Great to see the old bus back open!
Curtis may be gone but his daughter has it under control. Many happy memories of eating there long ago. Bringing friends now, have to spread the word!!
I must have passed Curtis BBQ right off of I-91 at least two dozen times but always drive by the willowing plumes of smoke with the intent to come back one day. Finally went today and grabbed half chicken and shredded chicken which we enjoyed. Really need to come back for the ribs and pulled pork but just wasn’t in the mood today. Beet salad was pretty good. The place itself is a trip. It really feels like the 1960s with the school buses and the ghost and legend of Curtis watching over. God rest his soul. Interesting place. Not for the faint of heart. The 1960s were no joke. Real orgones here !!! Real psychedelic energy here !!!
Very small menu choice . My chicken was dry . The ribs were too chewy. Won’t be going again .
Most of the menu wasn’t available for ordering. I absolutely loved this place when Curtis was here and very disappointed I took a two hour drive to not be able to order 90% of what I drove out there for. I won’t be coming back.
