We decided on breakfast at the Putney Diner as we were passing through the town. We were quickly seated, our orders taken, and within ten minutes our breakfast was on the table. The staff is very friendly, professional. This restaurant is a local favorite for breakfast and also serve dinner on certain nights.

Meatloaf had no flavor whatsoever. Mashed potatoes were real and decent. Everthing was covered in brown gravy that reminded me of the jarred brown gravy I used to buy as a newlywed, before I learned how to make it myself. Hubby chose a standard breakfast. Flavor was average, but smaller than average portions. Beverages such as soda or iced tea come in the smallest glasses we've ever seen for these type of beverages. We're stretching it by giving this place 3 stars. Interior atmosphere is warm and comfortable.

Unfriendly waitress mostly ignored us, luckily I found ketchup on an empty table. Soda was flat, coleslaw was bare and tasteless. The kitchen worker rubbed her hands and face all over a German shepherd and then brought out our plates. Never had sun an unremarkable club sandwich.

The food was really good the process were reasonable for dinner. My only suggestions is that the open a window.... to many fried foods you walk out smelling like fried oil. And the next thing the chicken fingers are hard as rocks . However the staff is amazing and really deserve kudos !!!! Smiling from the minute we walked in till we walked out i was really impressed with our server she was amazing !!! 👏🏼

best breakfast ever. I am Italian and I hotly recommend the espresso: just in Naples you can find it! it was outstanding! and let's talk about the best pancake ever tasted and the amazing omelet. Last but not least: the host, Eleni is a real host like you don't find anymore. All the waiter and waitress are nice and professional: they make you feel at home even if you are a foreigner like me.mThe place is extremely clean and tidy, in a word, beautiful. the Putney diner is a very good reason to come to Vermont at any season.

The cost for greasy hash browns and a tiny, equally greasy Vermont Omelette plus coffee was $20. The omelette was seriously tiny. See pictures. Served on a little plate to make it look larger, I guess. I was very disappointed. Whoever the cook is doesn't know how to make hash browns crispy. They were flat and greasy. Only one piece of toast, cut in half. I was really looking forward to liking this place because I told her around Vermont and New Hampshire and I'm disabled. But even though they didn't have the mug I was hoping to buy, I expected better food. Maybe it was just because it was early on a Wednesday morning, I don't know. But I can guarantee you I won't be back here anytime soon and can't recommend it.
I would go to the place and get yummy breakfast there as a college student. Thank you so much for everything!

We stopped by for lunch on a quick day trip to Vermont. We found this diner on Bring Fido since we have our pup with us. They accommodated her perfectly and treated her to some bacon. The burger and club sandwiches are huge and come with a nice portion of tasty French fries. Highly recommend!
