Big sandwich fan so loved the unique sandwich combinations and had a hard time selecting just one! No indoor seating, outdoor seating is very minimal, but so worth it! In warmer months, bring picnic blanket to eat on the nearby green. Something for everyone’s taste and works for a cute Vermont date idea or grab and go!

2 or 3 people work on the food here at once, so when it gets busy, the wait times are slower

Had lunch here last Thursday with my family during a visit, it wasn't just a quick lunch, the owners put quality and care into to menu, our sandwiches were fantastic. Fresh apples on every sandwich. Definitely come here when visiting the Quechee Gorge for a snack or lunch, you won't be disappointed.

I don’t think I have ever left a bad review for a restaurant, as I understand everyone can have a bad day. But after our experience here, and reading other reviews, it’s seems the public needs to understand what to expect here: A rude, nasty guy at the counter and long waits for your food. The counter guy must be the owner because no boss would put up with his behavior, which clearly drives business away. After getting nasty when I asked a question about a sandwich that was on their menu, the establishment then got the order wrong, and husky counter man had the audacity to tell me I ordered it that way. Seriously. I did notice that he was much friendlier to locals who knew his name, so it seems he just doesn’t like visitors to his tourist town. Oh well, next time we travel through Queechee, we now know to go somewhere else for lunch.

Tina and her husband make the best sandwiches and soups in the winter, love love the ice cream there
With the new extension it looks so comfortable and perfect for a quick or longer break
The 2 owners are delightful, great talking with them.
The both LOVE to make the best food and drinks and both have longterm experience with customers and it shows in their care towards their customers.

It’s locally owned
The try to get local produce and products as best they can

PS if you read the negative review from a couple of days ago, as with everything there is a back story to that and both of the review are incorrect and just plain and simple a lie

Great variety, everything was well presented and appealing. Very clean and welcoming. Best of all was the friendliness of the staff/owners! I will make this a regular stop every time I travel this way!

We stop here every time we come through town, and we consistently have the best experience! The food and service are great. The maple creemees can’t be beat! If you love maple and good food served by really wonderful people, visit the Vermont Snack Shack!

I visited the Snack Shack on 7/21. Service was slow and unfriendly, but the entire restaurant was in utter shock and disbelief when my 80-year old mother asked for a cup of water and was screamed at by the man and woman taking orders and preparing food. Their policy is that they “don’t SERVE water” they “SELL water”. When my mom questioned them further, the man behind the counter yelled so loudly and aggressively at her that I ran over ready to call the authorities. When I stated I wasn’t there to dispute their policy, only the manner in which they were treating a frail, elderly person, they directed their aggressive shouting at me, while onlookers stared in shock. Unbelievable.

Stopped in for a quick lunch after church. Service was friendly and prompt. Portions were large enough that my daughter and I only finished half of ours. Prices were more than reasonable. The establishment was clean and cool. A welcome respite from the July heat. No table seats or bathrooms inside but both are found throughout the plaza. We will definitely be back in the future!

Parking: Large plaza with plenty of parking.

Kid-friendliness: Multiple options for kiddos
