Were given menus for tasting flights but none of the flavors were explained until after we ordered. Someone had gotten take out or has microwaved their lunch so it smelled incredibly strong and was super disruptive to trying to taste whiskeys.

The hosts were hospitable and knowledgeable and the tasting room is in a cool old Victorian style house. You have to pay for the flights but for $20-$25 you get to taste 4 high quality whiskeys.

The 10 year whistle pig is not worth the money. Go the extra mile and buy the 12 year. The difference is so great that I will never drink the 10 year again.

We were looking forward to doing a tasting, but the person hosting really didn’t seem very interested in sharing any information about the different whiskeys. The flight we got wasn’t very good so it was a disappointing experience.

Kelin was our staff member/server. Very knowledgeable of all liqour. Made our first visit memorable. Did a tasting and bought a few things. Area is intimate and not loud at all. Great area to have a great tasting. No food options.

Tastings were good and everything is explained by staff. I.e. each bourbon and it's past. Small space so gets busy quickly. Get there early.

I love this space in the upstairs of the Parker House. While only having 2 rooms and approximately 400-500 sq ft of hosting space, it has a more open-aired, brighter feel than what you’d think of for home-based parlors/salons of the turn of the century. If you’re lucky to arrive when it’s slow, you may be able to grab a seat on the plush leather couch or chairs instead of the high tops. If you are a fan of the Whistlepig brand and/or whiskey in general, I find this to be a nice relaxing spot to come enjoy a dram or two.

Whistlepig has very good whiskey. But in this talking room, you can only taste 1 ounce total of whiskey. I'm sure it has something to do with their liquor license. And there is no free tasting. We went to 2 other distilleries in the area the day before that offered free tastings. Drink their whiskey, but skip this. Unless you want to try a tiny sip or two of their super higher end ones. Or buy them

We reserved a tasting here and planned an entire trip to Quechee based around this tasting. They called a day before to cancel on us based on staffing issues, and rescheduled us to the next day. We adjusted our plans, and waited around for the tasting, only to have them call and cancel on us again. We love the whiskey but why offer reservations for tastings if you can’t honor them.

It’s worth a visit, but maybe not the hype. Our party made a reservation and we were looking to enjoy a few pours or flights, but each person was limited to a one ounce pour which would seem to make reservations unnecessary. Total time spent there was 15-20 minutes and it was honestly a disappointment.I’d recommend visiting to try some of their ryes and bourbons before shelling out for a bottle that you may not really like. The whiskey itself is okay to good. It’s not honestly great with the exception of the Boss Hog which was excellent but not worth buying a bottle for anything more than flexing. There are small batches and single barrels out there that I could put up against this for under $250.My recommendation would be to visit this place 30 minutes before your reservation at Simon Pearce next door, but you can just as easily skip it.
