This place is fantastic. Not only is the food exceptionally good, but you can tell that thoughtful planning went into every aspect of the menu, dining area, and staff. Place is generally quite busy though, especially Fridays cause of the town events, so make sure to check availability!

Food is always excellent and changes daily. A very nice wine and beer selection. Biggest issue at last visit seemed to be a shortage of wait staff

Incredibly delicious!!
Recommended dishes: Shrimp and Grits
As soon as we placed our orders, we immediately saw the food cooking on the stove. The service was excellent and we waited for no more than ten minutes. The burger and tuna were delicious. Definite five stars.

I’d come to Rochester again just to try different menu items. My husband and I were visiting from Texas & love all things fresh and local food. We don’t typically drink, so we had one of the botanical drinks & it was delicious. He had the ribs (and count us Texans impressed) & I had the fish and chips. The ribs were tender with great chew & the sauce was really balanced. The coleslaw (which I normally hate) was fresh, crisp, and refreshing! The French fries were the perfect size, seasoned well, and came with a delicious dipping sauce. My fish was fresh, crispy - although don’t be like me and put lemon on it too soon, I ruined the crunch - but I was still so happy 🤣
We finished off with a maple creme brulee which was creamy, not too sweet, and just enough to spilt after a great meal.
All waitstaff was really kind & helpful, we even got to chat with the chef. Was a great experience, thank you!
We ate here in March and everything was great.
From the time we walked in until we left
Staff was very friendly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu
As some other reviews have said it is pricey but I will say the food and service speaks for itself and the prices I think are on point with other restaurants.
Can’t wait to go back again
We just went tonight to celebrate our engagement, and they were the kindest, most attentive, and fabulous people. Food was outstanding and loved every minute.
We didn’t make reservations, but we could be seated at the bar with access to the full menu. And wow, such a wonderful dinner and atmosphere. We started with delicious Vermont beers, followed by the house special of locally sourced mushrooms on foccacia with w/fried egg cooked perfectly. Smoked sweet potato on a bed of farro, finished with lemon ricotta cake and rhubarb custard pie. Through casual conversation with the couple seated next to us, we learned that the rhubarb for the rhubarb custard pie was supplied from their garden! Truly local, and a superbly executed dining experience!

We stopped in and had a fantastic dinner. Started with the coconut curry soup and beets, goat cheese, micro greens salad, and split the half rack of ribs and gnocchi. The ribs came right off the bones, but that gnocchi was especially delicious.
Well worth the visit!
A great spot for high-end quality food in a semi-casual dining atmosphere. Jen is a super host at the bar where I've had the pleasure of sitting on a few occasions. Would highly recommend!!
Quaint and intimate setting in a small town. High quality local food and fresh ingredients. My family and I loved it. We will come back.
Stellar! I was looking for a dependably good restaurant for special occasions after moving up from Boston. This is it. The food is top notch. The service is attentive but not pushy. We will brave the drive over the Gap in winter for the shrimp and grits, the mussels and focacia, and anything with that delicious veal demi glace. And don’t get me started on the Wagyu beef meatloaf. I want Maple Soul to make me dinner EVERY DAY.
