I was born on travers place, moved to forest st, than union street, bellomos market was always there from grandma bellomo to Joe, we used to go in the cellar and see all the meat, used to eat grapes from the vines that grew behind the store as we were walking to meadow st Park to play in the summer or ice skate I the winter, mind you this was early 1970's. As I moved to fairhaven in 1976, really loved that family
Vegetarian options: They have Veg head sub

The food is great, and the prices are unbeatable. I just wish they would take time to update things from the previous owners. The menu is not current, I went in to get a salad with my sub as indicated on their menu that there are "fresh salads made daily" and that wasn't an option. The phone number is also incorrect from their Google page, as a customer I don't want to have to track down the right number. Overall a great place, just need some more adjustments...
