We stopped in for a quick beer while our car tire was repaired at town fair tire. ( we had one)The bartender was very nice, drinks are reasonably priced and the complimentary popcorn was cool. I’d stop in again.
I expected an average local spot in Rutland but was pleasantly surprised when I found this place. Food and drinks are affordable and tasty, music is awesome (jukebox helps), and the environment is more than comfortable. I will definitely come back on my next ski trip.
First time I stopped here was 1972. Took a break from the Appalachian trail to shower, stock up, and yes.... have a few beers. (still have the CJ's t-shirt). I always make it a point to stop here on my somewhat regular visits to Killington and friends that I made all those years ago.
