This was the second time in two weeks we did not get waited on. I thought they might have changed for the better but no they have fallen back into poor service

Closed before 10PM when they are supposed to be open 24 hours every day.
The manager said they were short staffed but there were at least 4 people there. How many people does it take to serve one person?
Hire more people if you are short-staffed!

Waited 15 minutes in the lobby before being adressed, finally got sat down at the bar because I was alone and I wasn’t addressed for another 5 minutes. I walked up and left without even a drink of water. I get that you’re busy but at least address a customer or let them know the estimated wait so they can choose to go somewhere else.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Staying in Rutland Sunday- Tuesday for a ski trip, and Dennys is right next to our hotel. Last night, my family of 4 waited at the host station for about 10 minutes. When someone finally came over to seat us, another worker said they would need to "hold the door for 10-15 minutes" since someone needed to take a break. So we left to eat somewhere else.
We decided to give it a second chance tonight (Monday) since we had a great meal and service a few days before Christmas.
We walked in, and there was a family of 5 ahead of us, and multiple workers walked by 9 people at the door without any acknowledgment. The family of 5 said they had been waiting for about 10 minutes without anyone addressing them.
It is puzzling that 2 nights in a row Dennys is understsffed, crowded, and literally turning people (and $$$$$) away.

Had a very unpleasant experience this morning when I went in to have breakfast. There was one couple that I just walked in in front of me with two rambunctious children so I bypassed them and went and sat at the counter. After a few minutes I was greeted by a new employee who did said she did not know what she was doing and she was confused. I asked for coffee. I asked for coffee 5 minutes later then 10 minutes later I asked for coffee again.
The general manager came out and said I'm sorry you have to get back in line. If you want coffee. I said wait a minute. I went around these people. It's counter service and I wanted to have breakfast. She said I needed to get back in line. There was nobody in line except for that couple with their two kids. She's the most unprofessional general manager I have ever seen so I grab my things and I left. There's only two Denny's left in the state and she's destroying one of them she should be fired Good Hope is hard to find. She is not good help..

We walked through the door to be welcomed by a big sign reading if you give a 5 star review, you win a prize.. obvious that they need the ratings since service is horrible. After we were sat, it took at least ten minutes to be greeted. We just finally took our drink and food orders and after saying there for 40 minutes without receiving coffee or water, and listening to people around us complaining, we decided to walk out. I usually would never write a review like this as I have great patience With restaurants and servers, but I also should not have to wait 40 minutes to receive water. Our waitress came to all the tables surrounding us and never came by to say sorry for the wait, seems like she forgot we were one of her tables.. we’ll stick to Johnny boys and Mary’s. Good luck being open 24 hours..

Had a birthday party for my wife there. The staff was awesome! Our waitress specifically stayed way over the end of her shift to do our party. They gave us the whole back half of the restraunt and let us put up decorations. Everyone had a great time! Thank you Rutland Dennys!

Probably my first burger in a typical American bar. Good, big and stuffy. We had to wait a bit for the food but it was bearable. Water is water in the states - I drank it because I had to. Tap water for free. Very nice service (greetings to the waiter??). Overall, the atmosphere in the bar was nice, it was clean, and the toilets were the same. There is a large parking lot and there was no problem with parking during the week
