Best hot Italian. Get the large and you'll have lunch for 2 days. I crave this place now. Only wish would be to toast the roll. But that's minor stuff. I grew up eating Italian subs, and this was worth the measly $10. Seriously. The price was shockingly low. It's a hefty sub.

Was traveling through Rutland and decided to stop here for some subs. Ordered a Roast Beef and a Turkey sub. Both were piled high with very tasty cuts of meat. Buns were really they type you want for a sub sandwich. Would totally recommend this place.

I've lived in Rutland right up the street from Maxies and I haven't tried it until today, what a waste of my previous years here! I got the hot Italian, which is my go to sandwich and it was huge! The amount of meat he put on my sub was borderline ridiculous. I got a large and barely put down half of it. Super nice, no wait, I shall be back for more.

On my first (&last) visit to Maxie's I'm pretty sure I had one of the rudest people (an older man) making my families and mine subs. He didn't listen to what I repeatedly said, he just did what he wanted. After he got everyone in my families sandwiches wrong, I wanted to leave but I did pay first and walked out without a sub for myself. I don't know how they stay open with that man working there! Even his younger fellow employee was trying to correct him, but he wouldn't listen. So $37.& change later... Wait until my husband gets home from work and sees that his sandwich is all messed up!
