I just moved to Rutland from NJ and let me tell you, I was interested to see how good the food was since I’m used to some stellar places by my old house. This by far exceeded my expectations. The food is absolutely delicious. It was my birthday and my family took me, we happily kept adding food to the dinner spending over $300. It was WELL worth it. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive and the restaurant itself was very beautiful. We can’t wait to go back!!
This place will surprise you. Especially if you don't expect a wonderful authentic Japanese meal in Rutlan VT. Fresh Sushi, prepared with skill.

I was craving for sushi. I found a really GREAT GEM. Amazing food. I ordered BEEF NEGIMAKI, YELLOWTAIL JALAPEÑO, DRAGON ROLL, EEL AVOCADO HAND ROLL and SMOKED SALMON SUSHI. Everything was so fresh and delicious. GREAT NEW SPOT TO HAVE A NICE LUNCH OR DINNER. REALLY RECOMMEND IT. THE SERVICE WAS 10/10 KEN was my server so nice, friendly and helpful.

It's pretty on the inside but the overall quality of the food I received and respect I was shown was almost non existent . The udon was definitely held under a heat lamp the veggies where not cooked with it some even being hard and raw , like steam them or saute them appropriately because that was God awful as a chef I'm dissatisfied and disappointed. Now onto the very obvious lack of respect from front of house staff who hate their lives and it's plane to see , overall the restaurant is probably some of the worst I've seen to date. Flavor temp look of both soup and sides , fries gyoza needs to be pan seared appropriately not lightly tossed in a pan . Honestly do better .
I had a great evening at Tokyo House with my mother. The Oshinko, Gyoza, and Sashimi appetizers were amazing. I highly recommend the Volcano Roll, it was a 10/10!!! All the food was like art and the service was great! Our favorite Sushi place!

This place is so cute! It looks like you’re under the sea! The wait staff is incredibly attentive, fast as can be, and very professional. The sushi was delicious and fresh. We came here on a whim and will DEFINITELY be coming back!
I have lived and worked in Japan for over 20 years and my wife is Japanese. So usually disappointed with US Japanese cuisine establishments. Was surprised at the quality and taste. The only reason I rated slightly lower on atmosphere is because while a Japanese cuisine restaurant, the decor, table setting and atmosphere is more aligned with traditional Chinese. Regardless, it was quite clean and comfortable.
