Bayside Pavilion

We had an amazing experience at Bayside! We come up to this area at least once a year and always stop by Bayside for at least one lunch or dinner.
This time we came up with a large group of us, 11 in total. We did not have a reservation and walked in on the early side for dinner. The bartender/host asked us if we had a reservation and when we said no he worked with the waitresses to make sure they could accommodate our large party. We told them we wouldn't mind sitting at separate tables and splitting up, but they insisted they could make it work for us and they were able to move some tables around and get us all seated together.
The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting.
The waitress, Madison, was great! We ordered shirley temples for the kids in our group and she brought them out and was so kind to the kids asking them about school and even took it upon herself to bring the kids extra cherries when she noticed they had eaten all of theirs. When we told her we were there for fishing, she went out of her way to contact her dad who was also going to be fishing that weekend to ask for some good spots for us to check out.
The food came out quickly and everything was correct and cooked to perfection. Every person in our group ordered something different and we were all very happy with the taste and quality of the food.
Madison then brought out a small piece of cake for the kids to share at the end of the meal on the house.
Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience and exactly what we were looking for.

Excellent food and service. I had the surf and turf: both the flank steak and lobster tail were perfectly cooked. My wife had the lobster ravioli and loved it. Thanks.

Perfectly Clams 👌👌👌

Ordered burger medium, got medium well, but it was good. Came back to the restaurant second time and ordered medium rare, thinking maybe that would get me a medium. After an hour with mildly busy service, we received charcoal briquets in lieu of medium-rare burgers $18/burger. Didn't have the time to wait for a repeat. Showed the bartender the full thickness grey crumbly meat, and she couldn't have cared less, making excuses for a busy cook and offering us a to-go salads. Sad, because we live in town, but probably won't ever go back.

Food was good, reasonably priced, and nice view of Lake Champlain

Seafood always seams fresh every time I get it at the bayside thanks.

Go to Jeff's instead. This place is too busy to even answer the phones. Way overpriced for hit or miss service. No reservations at Jeff's, better service, larger portions, lower prices every time. And they answer the phone EVEN at closing time!

Went to dinner last night around 6, it wasn’t super busy maybe 4-5 other tables. I had my toddler with me. Who just wanted to walk around the restaurant while we waited for our food. The hostess and our server were beyond sweet to him always laughing and talking to him as he walked by. Which I thought was cute. Then my food came, and he was having so much fun he didn’t want to sit and eat. So I continued to follow him around while the rest of my table ate their dinner. (Not a giant deal for me) well the lovely waitress and hostess stopped our journey around the restaurant and told me “go eat we’ll hang out with him” (around 7:15ish at this point) I repeatedly said no it’s okay- as I didn’t want to disturb them (baby sitting isn’t their job). Well she scooped my little man up and began dancing and following him around the restaurant. And told me to go eat. Which I did. At this point I didn’t even care about the food, there kindness meant everything to me. My food was amazing. Will be returning due to the kindest staff.

We live in St. Albans Bay and are regulars at Bayside, so when we arrived home from work tonight to an unexpected power outage, heading over to Bayside for dinner was an easy choice. Our server, Kaitlyn, was fantastic as always! But what really made this visit worth sharing was the incredible kindness we experienced. My 4-year-old was disappointed to find that chocolate bars weren’t on the dessert menu (though the desserts available are delicious—her taste buds are still developing!). When the owner learned of her favorite chocolate bar, he went out of his way to find one and returned with it in under five minutes. My daughter was absolutely thrilled! The genuine care and attention to detail that the team at Bayside shows to their customers is unmatched. We’re already looking forward to our next visit—and next time, we’ll be sure to bring our own Kit-Kat bar!

They hadn't cooked the clam chowder yet. There were 2 of us and our fish was way overdone. The waitress didn't seem to care, she kind of ignored us too. We also ordered a small nachos and was charged for a large. I will never return

This place was sooo charming. The service was spectacular. First we were waited on by Mary who was very friendly. Then as she was leaving Josh, the New Guy took over waiting on us. Josh was spectacular. He was respectful, caring and hilarious. We felt like we were one of the locals which is a good feeling. The food was delicious. My friends enjoyed the clam chowder and I had the French onion soup. I must say it was some of the BEST French onion soup I’ve ever had. The fries were hand cut and deep fried to deliciousness. We had the stuffed mushrooms which were baked and fantastic. The facility was clean. It had clean restrooms. The bar and dining areas were very charming. You don’t want to miss out in this opportunity. They offer indoor as well as outdoor seating. That day it was just too chilly to enjoy one of the outdoor decks.

Parking: There was plenty of free parking when we were there.

Our waitress was amazing! I sent her to refill my water 4 times and she never fussed :) I had the Apple gorgonzola salad with grilled chicken and it was so yummy. We also had a desert, and took our waitresses word for it and didn’t regret it.

I have heard very mixed review about management on busy nights, but I had zero complaints on a week day lunch. I would recommend bayside to anyone local or traveling.
