Chill atmosphere. My hot maple lattes are consistent and well balanced between rich and slightly sweet. Warm and friendly staff.
While there aren’t as many varieties of coffees or syrups here, the coffee is pure. The baristas take their job seriously, some have gone to lectures on coffee and attended festivals to learn more about the best coffee beans and how to process them for the best flavor.

Best coffee I've ever had. NYC, NNJ, elsewhere in VT. Staff is great. Beautiful artwork for sale on walls rotates the collection every few weeks.

Catalyst is the definition of a neighborhood coffee spot. The vibes, the people, the coffee, the equally hospitable and equally excellent Red House bakery next door – our very first trip to Catalyst was enough to convince us to keep coming back, and they've done nothing but confirm that decision for us time and time again. Exceptional people work here and they serve exceptional coffee. The space is deeply ingrained with the community, offering a meeting place for various groups and organizations. This is the type of spot with regulars whose orders are as well known as their happenings and routines. If you're passing through or staying in St. Albans – or if you're anywhere within 50 miles of this spot honestly – I urge you to check it out and leave happy. 6/5.
