Catalyst is the definition of a neighborhood coffee spot. The vibes, the people, the coffee, the equally hospitable and equally excellent Red House bakery next door – our very first trip to Catalyst was enough to convince us to keep coming back, and they've done nothing but confirm that decision for us time and time again. Exceptional people work here and they serve exceptional coffee. The space is deeply ingrained with the community, offering a meeting place for various groups and organizations. This is the type of spot with regulars whose orders are as well known as their happenings and routines. If you're passing through or staying in St. Albans – or if you're anywhere within 50 miles of this spot honestly – I urge you to check it out and leave happy. 6/5.

Catalyst coffee bar has everything you want in a coffee shop, delicious coffee (plenty of options), friendly service and great atmosphere. Whether you are coming in to get some work done, meet with a client or play a game with a friend you wont be disappointed. Right next door is a great bakery too (opened 6 days a week) in case you need something delicious to snack on. They share a wall and welcome snacks from the other business in the cafe as well.

I love this coffee shop! The iced mocha latte with oat milk is life sustaining. The general hum in the space makes for a great location for journaling, drawing, laptop work...and I always see a friend. Catalyst is warm and inclusive, a place to get away from distraction and get that cup of coffee that you didn't know you needed

HANDS DOWN the BEST coffee shop around. The ladies greet you with a smile EVERY TIME!! They remember your order and work quickly and efficiently. So thankful for such a great coffee shop and staff.

Great coffee and knowledgeable staff. I had a great conversation about different coffee varieties. The bread and pastries next door ( but connected) at Red House Sweets were great too. I loved the kouighaman.
