Red House Sweets and Catalyst Coffee Bar are by far the ultimate combo - if you’re looking for some of the BEST pastries you have ever tasted as well as the best coffee anywhere in this whole area of Vermont, look no further!! Both places share the same space with separate counters, and you’re going to want to get things from both. Red House Sweets has an amazing selection of pastries and desserts, and many gluten-free options as well! I absolutely love the orange cardamom croissant - I don’t know what they do to make it, but it’s definitely in the top 5 best single pastries I have ever had in my whole life. I also love their kouign-amann as well!! These are both must-trys if you’re looking for something sweet. Honestly though, everything looks incredible. All the croissants, the focaccia, cakes, tarts, and so on would be so worth trying. I guess I gotta keep coming back to try it all!! Also, I want to give a special nod to the person working behind the counter. She was so upbeat and friendly and made the vibe of the place so much better. This place really is something special and I highly recommend visiting next time you’re in St. Albans!!!

This bakery was so delicious and had so many different kinds of treats. The person at the counter was so kind and helped me pick what would be best!

I heard about this place from Loré Pemberton on IG. There is a few of her beautiful little pieces of art there, which we got!And we were not sorry to discover this bakery! The pastries, muffins and quiches were not only pretty, but sooo good. Seriously, they're the best we've had, they were incredible. And the staff was so welcoming and gentle. We are from Quebec, but will definitely come back!

HIGHLY Recommend!!! Easily one of the best small/local bakeries I think I have ever been to! Both savory and sweet options daily and both equally delicious! Cant wait to go back and stock up!

We visited twice and loved this place! It's connected to the coffee shop next door, so you can have drinks with your food.Their kouign amann is lovely. If you want a simple, well-executed pastry to go with coffee, that's the one I recommend. All three of their flakey pastries we tried were excellent, though. I don't think you can go wrong. The cashier was The Kindest Human. I wish I asked for their name so I could give a proper shout out. Everyone who approached the counter was welcomed enthusiastically and talked to like a friend. Thank you again, cashier!

I died and ended up in pastry heaven and they served me this spinach artichoke puff pastry. I would definitely have it for all of eternity.

The best place in town for fresh bread and pastries. They have an assortment of delicious sweets. I love the croissants, the lemon bars, maple cheesecake, tarts, cookies. The fresh bread is great too. The staff is super nice and they have a cute little seating area. Coffee shop in the same building also.

In town for a few days and stopped by here a couple times. Everything looked so good , it's a shame I didn't have more time to try more things. We tried a croissant, muffin, eclair, lemon bar, and everything was delicious. Fresh and professional. This was across the street from the hotel we stayed at, and I definitely preferred these fresh baked pastries for breakfast rather than the boring subpar hotel breakfast.

Such good products. I would highly recommend the chocolate almond croissant but really everything here is worth a try. You can tell that a lot of love is put into the food here. Also, the lovely ladies who take turns working the counter are both such great kind women. It's very refreshing to have both good products and people.
