The Drake Bar and Kitchen

The Drake served EXCELLENT poutine and good burgers!

On our visit to Vermont we stopped at The Drake Bar and Kitchen for dinner on our first night. The Drake is a comfortable little restaurant and was somewhat busy during our visit, but we had no wait at all for a table and our service was excellent and reasonably fast.

We each ordered the Ethan Allen burger without a side and split the duck fat poutine. The burgers were cooked perfectly and had good flavor, but the star of the show on this visit was the poutine! Absolutely delicious and very well done. Of all the food we consumed in Vermont, this was the star of the show on this trip!

Price was a smidge on the higher side on our visit, but we did each order one of the more expensive burgers and alcohol. It is worth noting a side of fries to go with your Burger or sandwich will set you back $5. I feel this is a bit on the high side for a side of fries, but I also cannot speak to the volume of fries that gets you and won't ding my review for something I didn't order.

Overall, The Drake was an excellent experience and I could see us vstopping by again if we are ever back on the area!

I went here on my birthday and the atmosphere was very nice. The moment I walked in I felt the great vibe. My food came out quick and was perfectly cooked. I will be going back.

I’m a bit disappointed at the opening time but it was worth it, ‘cause the service and food were A-MAZING!! Service was kind and friendly since we walked in and the food was greater than I expected and the fries were my favorite thing and the waiter was very polite and nice, I would go there again when I stop at Vermont

This place is a little oasis in a desert that heals my foodie heart. Fantastic mixology and truly haven't had a single dish that disappointed. The pssta dishes augmented with duck make me do a happy dance, and all the crew there is fantastic, a generous staff with great service.

What a wonderful meal!! We started with delicious and wonderfully served mocktails and then the special appetizers and salads. Everything tasted great with very timely service. Excellent downtown location and lovely town square to walk around and shop. A lot of vegan and gluten free offerings with the bonus of using local products. Yum!!

This is the first restaurant I’ve been to in Vermont that serves food that tastes like something! I was so surprised by this little spot in St. Albans. Tasty locally sourced food!
Good service and good for serious gluten free eaters. This will be my new favorite spot!

Hands down the best food in the city. There is true pride coming from the kitchen and it's easy to see. The cocktails are equally as impressive.

Your manager Ebens lack of respect and professionalism at The Drake Bar & Kitchen BLOWS my mind.
As a tenant living in the building and right above the kitchen, your night staff have NO respect for those who live here.
Ongoing issues with blaring music once they close until 3 am some days even with communication on my end with disrespect and MOCKING me on Ebens.
I used to dine at your establishment but I will never spend another dime there.

The only reason I gave 3 stars on the atmosphere is because I only get take out. But it is always stellar!! Their Steak Frites meal is to die for!! So so good!! Highly recommend!!
