If you enjoy broken promises go ahead and have your wedding here, it is sure to be full of stress and degrading behavior from the owner, Alex.

My partner and I explored Idlewood, as we wanted to identify local restaurants to which we could take out of town guests. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and comfortable. Every course was beautifully executed, and the portions were generous. Although I had to piece together a meal as a vegetarian, I knew this when we made a reservation. My man loved his meal, and he helped with mine too. Service was without a flaw, and we left full. This delightful treat is well worth a visit if you are in the Upper Valley.

A real gem that delivers excellent service as well as tantalizing cuisine from the Chefs outstanding French Onion Soup (one of our favorites!) and Orchard Salad to his many delectable mains! If you are in the Upper Valley of VT/NH this is "The Place" for a superb meal!

I am visiting this area from Cape Cod. Last night I had dinner with friends at The Idlewood Restaurant in Sharon. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the food was awesome and the service was also great. I am hoping I have the opportunity to eat here again in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is only a half mile off I-89, turn right off the exit (when the little green State food, gas, lodging sign says to go the other way!), and you'll be rewarded with a remarkable meal, in a beautiful setting. From my first dinner at the Idlewood, I have eaten there every time I've found myself within striking range. The food is impeccable: clean, flavorful and the dishes with stocks and marinades have obviously taken days to create. You can taste the care taken with each dish. Well-worth exploring, even if it's a bit off your beaten path.

Idlewood is a nice place for dinner. Service is always excellent. Food is very good. Appetizers and dessert round out a nice meal. Informal menu, really nice setting in a restored hay barn (no hay anywhere to be seen these days, though).

Dined at the Inn recently and found this quaint restored barn featuring farm to table cuisine. Following our meal we met Chef Brendan who's unassuming preparations exceeded our expectations. We understand that they are reopening soon, as they apparently took a seasonal break. We will be looking forward to a return visit soon as we travel through Sharon, VT regularly.
