A really poor dining experience. To begin our dinner my party of four ordered the pumpkin soup that was brought to the table cold. The waiter then explained the kitchen has forgotten to turn on the soup warmer so all four cups were removed and finally returned 10 minutes later only to be lukewarm at best. The soup was no great culinary feat that’s for certain. Chunky vegetables and some pumpkin seeds on top along with way too much curry that the chef was clearly trying to hide its bland taste and unappealing look.
We ordered the deconstructed squash lasagna which arrived like a heap of soggy squash on totally undercooked pasta that was even close to al dente.
The salmon which was suggested to be cooked medium by the waiter came to the table surrounded by an exorbitant amount of lukewarm soggy spinach with some very basic mashed potatoes.
Wine was good and the after dinner coffee was good. The desert of maple crème brûlée was nice but again very basic for an establishment that is considered fine dining. Mind you we were eating before the restaurant was busy.
The establishment itself is pleasant but for a fine dining experience it also lacks. The walls weren’t clean and the atmosphere isn’t very cozy or welcoming. Staff appeared to be disinterested in our dining experience as well. No elegance at all.
Definitely a one and done.

Just moved to the North side of Shelburne and decided to try something close for takeout. The Day Boat Cod was to die for. It’s a favorite of my wife and I which we used to get at another place in South. Burlington. Hands down better plate and a lovely salad. Will definitely frequent Electra.

I wish I had taken a photo of my meal. One thing I have noticed whenever I have dined at Electra their portions are very large, I have never finished my meal. For a white table cloth restaurant I would expect a more refined meal, food was tasty but the portions I would expect at a diner. The meal I has last night, roast chicken arrived at the table link warm with two scoops of sides, potato and stuffing.

Huge shout out to our phenomenal waitress Taylor! My husband and I went to The Friendly Toast in downtown Burlington the morning of our 8-year wedding anniversary, and Taylor happened to be our waitress she was not only friendly and attentive but extremely excited to celebrate with us our anniversary and make a great experience for brunch. She then happened to mention that she works at another restaurant in the evenings titled Electra. We had never been to Burlington before and we had decided to venture that way rhe day after, since we already had reservations at another Italian restaurant nearby well truth be told we should have absolutely gone there for anniversary but ended up making reservations anyway since she spoke so highly of it and they had duck on the menu which happens to be our favorite! When we arrived the day after our anniversary Taylor was thrilled as were we since the interior and exterior of the building were beautiful and the dinner exceeded expectations! Just a bit too spicy for my liking regarding the slaw but we did get the duck and it was cooked perfectly 👌 exactly how we like it!!! the atmosphere was stunning the older Victorian building had all the perfect touches and had been newly renovated she also was able to light the fireplace for us which made everything even more romantic and we had a little private table in the corner. My husband and I live in New Hampshire and mentioned over and over again this place would be our go to spot 100% if we live nearby!!! and we just want to give a huge shout out to Taylor and the chef for an exceptional experience and for truly making our anniversary weekend very special.

I’ve been in Vermont for 10 years and this is some of the best food I’ve had here. everything from the caesar salad to the cocktails to the entrees were exceptional and for a quite reasonable price with the prix fixe twilight dinner (I can’t believe the wagyu steak is included in that deal, its phenomenal). service was lovely. the only downside (which is obviously so minor) is that the decor/atmosphere/ambience feel super dated, poor lighting. I went in to the meal with lower expectations because of that and I’m so glad I was proven wrong. will be back.

My wife and I joined another couple for this evening's meal. Too bad we try to eat within our age group 'cause I could have enjoyed being overserved. We started with a bottle of wine served by a friendly waiter; can you please refill my water too!. Great conversation, great food, and in rememberance of Electra Webb or some kitty if you want to believe that.
