Took them like 2 hours to get a double order of fried ice cream out and they must have made it right at the beginning and let it sit because we were delivered two boxes of goop. Will never order from them again.
When we originally found this place we told everyone we knew they HAD to try them out. Boy were we wrong... When they decide to open most of the time their food is incredible. Unfortunately, for months now they have decided to just not open some days. There is no rhyme or reason as to why. Just this week alone we have attempted to order from there twice when they're supposed to be open and no one is there. It's incredibly frustrating and at this point I think we have officially given up trying with this shady business.
Dinner was absolutely amazing! Very calm, chill atmosphere. This was some of the best Himalayan food I have ever had in the US.
Decent food some of the time, when it's good it's really good, and when it's not it's not. They are also extremely unpredictable when it comes to what time, or if they're going to open. Google says 11-x, they're never open before two, and they're closed about half the time I call at 4:30. It's really frustrating to plan on ordering here for dinner, or getting 5 coworkers together to order lunch only to figure out they didn't feel like opening that day, it's a less than ideal way to run a business. The only reason I still attempt to come here is because when the food is good it's unrivaled.
Does anyone actually work here? Every time I’ve tried to call and ask some questions about the menu, during business hours, I never get a response. Who in their right mind would order from a place who can’t be bothered to pick up the phone to ask some questions about allergy concerns?I’ve tried calling at literally every hour of the day that isn’t their peak busyness just to see if I could talk to someone - nada. Wouldn’t recommend going to a place who can’t be bothered to pick up the phone.
I was the 1st one there at 530, the lady working saw me come in but then went to the back and didnt reappear for over 20mins to take my order. Only because someone else came in and rang the bell. She wanted me to go up to the counter to take my order. But then she took the other guests order at their table. The chairs upfront were metal and so old and uncomfortable i moved tables. And I wondered why they hadnt answered the phone when I'd tried to call two days in a row before. Well the same thing when I was there. The phone was ringing alot and she never answered it.The other guests also got their food before me. I waited 30min to get my food after ordering. My Chana masala I was so looking forward to, was so overly watered down and yet so spicy hot I was on fire the whole time. I had to dump alot of rice in it to eat it. I told her mild to medium make sure it's not too spicy. So it ended up being mostly rice with a few chickpeas. The veggie momo was nearly empty with hard shells, I think they were old. She never asked me how my food was. There ended up being 4 other parties in there and still she only appeared once every 20 minutes or more. Leaving all the guests without any assistance. A guy stood at the counter for a very long time waiting for her. Overall dissapointed, I definitely won't be returning. 2 stars only because I felt bad she was probably there by herself. But I feel that's poor management all around. After all that wait the food could have atleast been good.
Third time out of four orders that they cancelled my order half an hour after I placed my order. Completely incompetent. The food is fantastic when they actually come through but utterly unreliable. I will never order from this restaurant again.
We went here in 2021 while on vacation from Louisiana. I had the beef chowmein. It was one of the tastiest meals I've ever eaten. Everything we ordered was amazing. Their spices they use are truly insane.
Ordered take out from an extensive menu and was very impressed! Excellent quality and taste. A gem on Shelburne Road!
Unfortunately, it appears to be under new ownership with a slight name change and it was terrible. The hostess/server/bartender was mostly absent- the exception being going behind the bar, pouring 3 shots of whiskey into a glass then disappearing with glass back to the kitchen area. We were the only table there at the time except for 4 young 20 somethings who were drunkish and frequently popped outside or back into the kitchen area as well. They appeared to be part of the management's family. One of them controlled the music with his phone and at times it was quite loud, especially when they danced with the 2 barefoot women. My wife's entree was served and about 10 minutes later my entree came out. There is more but this is enough- except to say the interior photo is not recent. That photo is from the old place. The walls are now painted red and much of the soft lighting over the tables has been replaced with florescent office lights. Why the Buddha's name is on this place is anyone's guess. Oh, the food: Mediocre.

We went to Royal Buddha restaurant on a Sunday night and it was not crowded. They have couple of high chairs for the toddlers. Ample parking space. We are vegetarians and on enquiring chef was able to make Thai Fried rice without egg. We ordered a Veg. Chilli Momo, Vegetable Chowmein & Thai Fried Rice with medium spice level. We liked the chili momo & chowmein. Fried rice was also good. Will definitely visit again for the Chillimomos & chowmein?
Great food, many options, great music! Family atmosphere
Amazing food, best chicken tikka masala and naan I've had. Order lots of things because everything is delicious! So glad it's right around the corner.
So testy food and amazing people good service
We love Royal Buddha, and are grateful to live so close to this rad family run establishment. It's never crowded, the decor brings me a smile, and the food is always delicious and spiced well. It takes a little while to get your order, but most restaurants are this way these days. As someone who enjoys spicy food, the Chili momo are my fave - fried dumplings covered in spicy chili sauce. The veggie thukpa soup was excellent, not too spicy tomato-y broth with noodles, lots of veggies and chickpeas. If you're hesitant about trying Nepali food they also have a Thai menu.
