Crab rangoons were average, Szechuan dumplings were amazing and the star of the show, Zens beef, A, tangerine flavor absolutely amazing, so very good!

The food was REALLY good. Everything tasted fresh. There are a lot of different options as well and the staff were all friendly. I would definitely like to go back. Ordered chicken lo mein and sesame chicken.

For this area of VT, this is one of the better Chinese restaurants. Anywhere else, with a sizable Chinese population, I’d give it a 2.5-3. But that’s VT…. Don’t even think about getting Mexican food in the area—though that may be changing. Wish the same were true for Chinese.
It’s a shame that A Single Pebble’s original owner isn’t still running the place. They (Single Pebble) used to be very good, roughly 25 years ago (especially when they were in Barre).
Not sure why anyone eats there (single pebble) now. The past few times I tried eating there (single pebble), the food was inedible. So much sodium you couldn’t taste the ingredients; and over-sauced, with snotty, tasteless pools of cornstarch-thickened slime (single pebble).

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with top tier customer service, all complimented by the best Chinese food in town.

Inedible had to throw out. Very oily and bland. Chicken was dry and tough.
Ordered pineapple fried rice and Singapore me fun. The only thing I could taste was burnt oil. Disappointed tried this place because of 4.1 star rating. Vermont is not the place to go for Chinese food but this went right in the trash and made me sick.

Zen Gardens has a good chef. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Hot and sour seafood soup and Sesame Chicken were excellent. Moo Shu was good, too. They have a full bar and did not skimp on the liquor.

Delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly service contributed to a great meal. The artistic flower carrot was the proverbial cherry on top. Great option for families and the food arrives quickly.

We're not locals so we were pleasantly surprised with the General Tzau Chicken. A little crisper coating with a light spicy flavor. Very nice tofu & vegetable soup too.
