Don’t waste your time looking for this place. They haven’t updated their website site and their taproom which they shared with a coffee shop is gone. Sounds like it wasn’t amicable from the barista. There might now be some sort of affiliation with the taco place down the street but that was closed too even though the hours posted showed they should have been open?? Too bad, I like their beer.
NOT Upoer Pass Beer Co.
Super confusing even to the neighboring coop when asked if the brewery was next door. Apparently moved and or closed??
Is now a taco place called either Carlitas Cantina or Cocina (differing signage).
However- it does serve Upper Pass beer along with a variety of visiting taps.
While disappointed we didn’t end up at a brewery the experience was nice and the visiting and UP beer solid.
After enjoying a great kolsch in Stowe, I stopped by UP to explore their other selections and bring home a 4-pack to share with friends. I shouldn't have wasted my time. The bartender did not greet or even address me until 5 minutes after my arrival, although there was only one other couple there. He was rude and condescending when asked questions, and seemed annoyed by my presence. I requested a sample of beer, so he poured a "pint", leaving an inch and half of foam. So much for exploring UP's other brews... When asked about the sparse in store selection, he directed me to the co-op next door, which did not carry UP beer. This is definitely NOT a tasting room and certainly NOT worth the stop.
Poke bowl and beer were great! I stoped by on a Sunday and it was pleasant hanging out in the space while I ate and drank. I thought the staff were patient and helpful as well, letting me sample some beers and chat about them without any hassle!
Deno is amazing! She should own this place. Great service, food, and beer! A hidden VT gem

I get very frustrated when I pay for a PINT beer and end up with an inch foam in my glass. In Europe they pour true pints. Let it rest and fill the pint. Or charge less. We ordered English Pub Ale
Tap room has a nice variety of delicious beers, but they are allowed to pour only 8 oz per person at a time. Nevertheless, we love Modern Pants, and the soft pretzels are great. The folks behind the counter are super friendly and knowledgeable, too.
Cloud drop is Officially the greatest to me! But their hours are way off.
Best beer in town! The bartender is great too!!

Awesome beer! Swing by if you’re in the area, definitely worth it.
I have been drinking Upper Pass along with many many VT beers for a wicked long time now. I will first say that the comments on the store front about customer service are troubling. I am in the people business and to see so many complaints is not good!! Fix that immediately! Now, the beer. First Drop and Cloud Drop are solid beers. These started in the early days before the explosion. Good stuff. Contract brewing is really not something to turn your nose up on. The recipe and process is what counts. There can be many advantages to doing this. It’s a business in the end.
The tasting room shares a space with the coffee shop, which is kind of neat and makes sense for a small town. They only have a tasting license, so max 8oz pours, but we got to try quite a few. They were good and we ended up buying a few kinds to take home. The guy at the counter was cool, and even offered restaurant suggestions for dinner.
Awesome microbrew, super friendly service. One of my favorite breweries ni the country. This town is sooo lucky to have them there. Try the Cloud Drop and the Moove Up - 2 of my fav beers ever. Definitely better than Heady Topper, though that's a great beer and brewery too!
