Made reservations for 6:30 on a Monday, got confirmation emails and everything.. showed up and the place is closed. Several other groups of people did the same as we watched from our car desperately trying to find somewhere else to eat. Need to update their hours to actually reflect reality, and shut of reservations if they aren't open. very disappointing

Mussels were great! Fish and chips were great, especially the sauces they came with. Now the lobster roll may not look like your typical lobster roll but man was it good. The bread was a perfect sweet compliment to it. We were impressed and will be back again. Our waitress was also very attentive and food service was quick and smooth.

Very lovely experience. Our server was superb. We were quite comfortable in our dining experience. They have a vaccination policy that allows us to be more comfortable when dining indoors. Thank you for your due diligence and care of your patrons.

We are local and expected so much more as we've enjoyed Jacks past ventures. Service weak at best. Drinks took 25 minutes with a 1/4 full seating area and mixed drinks were lousy. Beer selection was ok and cold. Mussels were half cooked Seared octopus was excellent Salads were average Tacos were slightly larger than an Oreo but delicious Sole was over cooked to dry and honestly the fresh green beans on the side were more flavorful with a nice garlicky olive oil toss I'm hoping for way more fish options next time as we always give a second chance to new places.

We love Big Fish. While it's still a work in process, Jack Pickett knows what he's doing and is dedicated to his customers. He and Bruce have created a great space with an attractive bar managed by Jason, a Stowe stalwart who loves people and is attracting crowds. Food is excellent and good value. Service has been excellent. Worth a try

We had the salmon and the lobster - both were amazing! My salmon came with a buttery dill sauce that didn't overpower the salmon or the garlicky potatoes on the side. The lobster was melt in your mouth delicious. Looking at the menu the fish choices change depending on the catch of the day so we'd definitely like to go back again to see what they come up with next.

Better than expected, outside looks a little out of date. Inside is nice. Stuff is friendly. Large dishes are not really large. Dishes are simple, but good quality. Salmon 5 stars, Stripped Bass 4 stars, Beef Tacos 5 stars, Shrimp Tacos 4 stars.

Wanted to try this new seafood place. Sorry I did. They are suffering from the common epidemic of lack of staff, but have not trained the staff they have on basic customer service. You wait ages at your table waiting to be acknowledged by passing wait staff who seem determined to ignore you. The hostess almost begs you to sit at the bar because of the over-burdened table staff, but the service at the bar is no better. Bartenders have long conversations with patrons while neglecting the remaining clientele. Oh, the food. Nothing special, small portions. Expensive. They could maybe pull it off if the service was exceptional, but management has failed to invest in the training required to achieve this. Take a pass.

We were amazed at how good the food was. When we first walked in, we almost left as it looked more like some chain restaurant. But we were glad we stayed. The grilled octopus was outstanding. I had the swordfish done with a mango salsa. It was cooked just right. Most chefs in Vermont overcook there fish but this was perfect. My wife had the mussels which were pretty tasty. I liked that they checked Covid vaccination records as that made us feel safe. We would definitely go back.

Really enjoyed the new Thursday night buck a shuck oysters followed by the delicious wedge salad, a couple shrimp tacos, and fish and chips. Great service and comfortable atmosphere. Looking forward to a repeat!

The food is fantastic. I can't believe we found a place with such fresh seafood tucked away in Vermont. Plus, there is plenty of local VT beers on tap.

The special “oyster tacos” were phenomenal, calamari and mussels were on Point. The toasted bread they served with the mussels really made it a home run. Service is super friendly and prices are great. Add it to regular spots in Stowe.
