Wonderful spot with wonderful people. Really nice calm atmosphere in the morning. Really amazing breakfast here at a good price. I tried the blueberry pancakes and also the eggs with sausage and potatoes. The pancakes were amazing. The potatoes were crispy and tasted great. The eggs tasted fresh and were delicious.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options.
Kid-friendliness: Quiet atmosphere in the morning means it's great for kids.
Parking: Lots of parking available.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. Accessibility ♿️ is very important ? huge plus for that!
Dietary restrictions: Simple breakfast menu makes for an easy choice and also makes it easy for the chef to make diet friendly cooking.
Hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever ate!!! I definitely recommend it. Great food and service.
Well we're to Start, I ordered a garden salad and they brought me the same salad they called the fresh vt salad total different things, the chicken sandwich was very bland no flavor to it, and my husband who's allergic to sea food had a reaction because they use (and I asked) the same oil to fry seafood as they do their fries so my husband couldn't eat 2 entress he ordered, then after having it brought to attention we were still charged full price. We spent 300 dollars and were not satisfied at all. To top it off when we went to pay we handed him cash and were told sorry we have gone cashless lmao well if you want more customers and to be paid you might want to rethink that, we asked where is the sign that shows this and we were told it just happened so no sign. Ugh won't be going there ever again.
soup was good staff was friendly ambiance was good but the steak and mashed potatoes tasted like they where out of a can which I am sure the green beans where. The saddest part was when i said the meal was insulting the waiter laughed and no-one offered a replacement or apologies.
Great service! However they don't inform you they cook all fried food in the same oil.. we had someone with us that had a seafood allergy ? once the bill came we are informed they are now a cashless restaurant..
Since this is a restaurant, my review here is based off of the food. With that said - this is an easy one star. We ordered 2 of the steaks last night - which cost $30 a piece. I really don’t mean to insult the cooks, but the food was absolutely terrible. The steaks were over cooked and bland to the point salt and pepper couldn’t even fix it. The green beans were partially cooked, no seasoning on them at all and just dry / bland. The mashed potatoes had zero flavor and was also undercooked to the extreme. Our initial waitress was great, and she helped us navigate finding a good drink from the menu. However that was the best and only good part from our dining experience. I wish I could give a better review, however I can’t condone selling 8oz steaks for $30 when they are tasteless. We appreciate the hospitality, but the prices in comparison to quality is not close at all. We asked for a refund and got 20% off our order. I personally would just avoid this place all in all.
Overpriced food and small portions ! Dinner was good waiter was nice ! Breakfast coffee luk warm bitter ,pancakes little burnt felt like they were premaid to order and bacon was ok ! Again prices to much whats should cost 24$ was 40$ ! And then tip ya again ok!!
The staff make this place worth it! Food is decent. Nothing overly special. But certainly not bad either. I keep going back because it's decent, the price is decent and it has a friendly, small town feel to it.
Bar is center piece of dining room and there is a nice fireplace/sitting area. Food for the most part was not good. We had the Steak Aupoire which was a shoulder cut covered in heavy gravy - meat was tough. Green beans and mashed potatoes were not good. For the positives the onion soup was very good (bit too much cheese) and the chocolate cake was good.
Food a little overcooked but not to a worrying level and it tasted great. Starters came up with the main course. Overall, a good place to eat.

Limited menu and food wasn't anything to write home about. Restaurant needs a serious rebranding. Table and bar service was outstanding.
The place was empty.I asked for sweet potato fries I received regular fries. Not worth taking back. Our waiter shouted to us while setting us another table didn't come until he saw we were done eating. Never came back to see if we needed anything or to asked how was the food.Update 9/14Thanks for the aknowledgement however you missed the point of the whole experience. Our waiter didnt come to our table until he saw we were done ,so asking to correct the order was not an option we had.
Vegetarian options: They only had one choice on the very reduced menu.
We ate dinner in this restaurant as it was convenient as part of the hotel complex we were staying in. We had some misgivings but it turned out to be very good. In the morning the breakfasts were delicious.
I had an outstanding cheeseburger last week at Charlie B's - the "Build Your Own Burger" dish. I specified cheddar cheese, no onions, Medium Rare. It was perfect, bursting with flavor, but cooked well enough that I could taste the broil - just the way I like it. Nice side salad too. Excellent service as well. This is the second time I have come here (I visit Stowe, VT once a year) and each time the food and service has been outstanding.
First time in Stowe since I was 10. We’re here for the British Invasion so looked for a spot for dinner on Thursday decided on Charlie B’s. We were very pleased nice quiet place our server Neil was very pleasant and took care of us very well. For dinner wifey had the clam chowder and shrimp scampi she was very pleased with the chowder the scampi needed help was a little watery. I had the French Onion Soup and fish and chips, the soup was cooked okay the fish was perfectly cooked and very hot, the coleslaw has a hint of Maple syrup overall everything was good, but we couldn’t eat it all and no room for dessert. Enjoy Charlie B’s had a good deal of character and good eats. Cheers. ??
