Doc Ponds is a lot of fun, great selection of beer, and cozy atmosphere, but not really a place to go for dinner as a vegan. Items on the menu are not marked at all, though the staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Somehow this place gives off the vibe that it would have more vegan items but it just doesn't. But the limited things they do have are pretty good. If you're going for a drink before or after your actual dinner you'll be pleased. If you come here expecting a full meal, you will probably be disappointed.

It's fine, food selection is small but good. This is a small thing but I wish their burger had tomatoes on it, in addition to lettuce. The service was almost too quick, it felt like someone was there to take my empty plate as soon as I finished eating. But hey, if you're stopping by for a quick bite, you can do that, and I'd rather the service be a bit too fast than too slow.

Came here on a one-night stay in Stowe. Amazing Atmosphere with great music. Expansive vinyl collection is neat to see.

The food was absolutely delicious. For an appetizer, I had the homemade BBQ chips with Onion Dip, and it was phenomenal. For my entree, I had the half chicken with the chimichurri, and it was TO DIE FOR. It was definitely worth the price, and the broccoli slaw on the side was a great compliment.

After dinner, I took a stroll through their small, yet great merchandise section. Got myself a hat that I will be wearing quite often!

Overall, wonderful experience! I will be back!

Stopped here for a quick meal. The outdoor area was dog friendly. The cocktails and food are great. The calamari was really top notch.

If you love juicy wings, this is the place to go! Made to perfection! Excellent homemade blue cheese and 'ranch' like dipping sauce too.

The wings with the house hot sauce were the best buffalo chickens wings we ever had. It was beyond just the simplistic flavors of vinegar and heat. There were true spices and depth of flavor. I could taste every ingredient. Simply superb. We also had an order of the Doc Fries and Smash Burger and those were excellent too. We capped off the night with their pie of the day (apple) and though initially the portion seemed small for two people, ultimately it was just enough. Our server was awesome, very friendly and professional. The vibe inside was cool, we sat around the corner of the bar in a low-key area. Good music. Overall we were very impressed with the night. But I'll be dreaming of those wings.

UPDATE: Visited a second time before we left Vermont. Had to see if those wings held up and they sure did! The Vermont Cheddar Fritters were also delicious. The Falafel Sandwich was under seasoned, but not bad. We ordered some cocktails and those were great. Their pie of the day was a Pumpkin & Pepita Streusel. So good! Doc Ponds was the best restaurant we visited on our trip!

This is the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a good local beer and food after a day of hiking outdoors! I was glancing at the patron’s food as we walked to the bar, and everything looked delicious! The mac and cheese was absolutely phenomenal as well as my chicken salad! The Mr. had a juicy burger and we both enjoyed a local IPA and lots of laughs! A couple next to us ordered the VT half chicken, and I instantly regretted my food choice because it looked like something out of the Food Network magazine! The service was nice and vibe was chill. They also play old school vinyl tracks and heard this is the spot to be at in the winter after skiing! You’re Welcome ☺️

The food was very disappointing. Example: The chicken Cesar used overcooked burned thigh (not breast) meat, bread crumbs instead of croutons and dressing straight from a bottle. For 22 dollars!!! Nobody ate their meals and the cocktails were disappointing as well. Milkshakes weee great however. The service was poor and the server didn’t even care that nobody ate the entrees. I’m amazed that this place is able to hold its own and stay open. Would not recommend this place at all.

Disappointed. We had burgers wich were rare and almost no toppings except a liitle cheese and sauce. Unsavory. However the side orders of squash and brussel sprouts were very good.

We had the marinated mushrooms (it's a cold dish btw) and the beets as starters (beets are a side usually). The mushrooms had the funky truffle taste, and was unexpected, but they were marinated. It wasn't fully my cup of tea and I was glad we had the beets as well. The chevre was whipped to perfection with the lightest texture that perfectly complimented the beets.
Fantastic smash burgers. The edges had a delightful crisp and they were perfectly flavored. I think simplest really let's it shine, and these burgers shone for us. Service was speedy, and thays pdobsbly because they use teamwork here at Doc's. We had like 4 or 5 servers that we saw about 2 or 3 times each, but it worked.

Vegetarian options: There was falafel as an option

Parking: We had dinner around 5:30 and there was plenty of parking, but it is a small lot

Great simple food. Not a large menu but a lot of the offerings are soooo good. The atmosphere was great, just a cozy small town bar and grill. Could use more parking though.
