Had a wonderful dinner experience this evening! Began with yummy cocktails at the bar then moving to a table, where Melissa served us with warmth along with sharing interesting tidbits of Stowe! The maple pork loin with buttery mashed potatoes was delicious! Looking forward to a return visit for sure.
The food was amazing! Servers were very kind and the drinks were great! The atmosphere is on point! I will definitely be coming back my next visit to Stowe!

I had the most amazing wedding reception at Grant’s! The food and service were incredible from the appetizers (definitely try the pretzels) to the drinks and the entrees. They went above and beyond for my wedding day. Cannot recommend them enough!

Went Friday night for dinner and I was shocked at the service provided. The host was rude as soon as I checked in for the reservation. I should have known that was a sign to go somewhere else.
The waiter did not introduce himself and left our plates and utensils on the side for us to set everything ourselves. He was not friendly at all. He acted like we were bothering him when we asked questions about the meal or when we asked to place an order. We thought he was having a bad day, but then we saw he was acting differently with other tables.
My friends and I are women of color and he did not speak to us once. When he gave us the bill he said, "so.. are you guys cousins?" We are not related in anyway. We would have not taken offensive by this comment but given the extremely unwelcoming demeanor it was distasteful to say the least.
The food was subpar. I would recommend going somewhere else all together.

Ok food and ok service. Four star review because Grant's was able to squeeze us in after another local restaurant wasn't able to seat us even though we had reservations there.

This is the best example of a local yet tourist destination. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The food is terrific (I love the duck and poutine), and the live music make this one of my must have stops! If you want to experience Stowe at its best, this is a sure bet. Enjoy!

My husband and I made reservations and we seated, by an older host who spoke not one word to us, at a table in the back (please note the restaurant was not busy at 630pm on a Saturday and had maybe 6 tables taken at the time). We then moved to the bar where we felt unwelcomed and decided to leave prior to ordering.
We didn't eat or drink anything, contrary to what the owner commented on my husband's review.
Given the menu online we expected this to be more upscale and it just wasn't what we were looking for.
Despite what the owner will inevitably comment on this post- it was a holiday weekend at peak foliage and was dead. That should have been an indication of what to expect when we sat down.
I wasn't going to leave a review but since the owner commented a plethora of made up information about our visit on my husband's review- here I am.
I wouldn't trust the reviews you read or the comments back. He commented a completely fabricated dining experience when we ordered literally not one thing- not even water.
This review was really just to say the 'vibes were off' but now it's to point out the owners deceit.

Great service, average food and limited menu. Casual dining room, warning one table is directly under a walk way and shoes are eye level kicking dirt down to your table, dont sit there.

The food was very good. Our waiter was nice too. However, I specifically asked that our apps and entrees were not brought to us close together. Almost as soon as the apps were put down, the entrees came. No chance to savor the apps. Exceptionally rushed. Also. We arrived at 6:15. The restaurant was not busy at this time. We both ordered lava cake for dessert, one of only three desserts offered. The waiter took our order , then came back to the table and said it was gone. Odd. These things would not stop me from going back however.

Popped down the road while staying at the Green Mountain Inn for a quick and easy dinner reservation after driving the day to Stowe today and had an amazing meal. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. Get the duck! You won't be disappointed. Our waitress, I believe her name was Natalie, was so kind and bubbly and attentive. 10/10!

We came in as a group of 7 with two young kids. They went out of their way for my 2 year old. We are outside and the atmosphere was amazing. Our server was excellent and we enjoyed her story of Vermont as we were just visiting. Most of us got the burger and if was very good. We will be back on our next visit to Stowe.
