The food was very very good. We had pasta with pesto and shrimp, and the chicken piccata (excellent!). Large portions. The dining room itself is very dark. The wine list is expensive; I don't think I saw a bottle for under $62. But the food itself was so good that we would definitely consider returning.

We had such a great experience at this Italian restaurant in Stowe that we immediately booked another evening! The food was delicious, the service warm and attentive, and the atmosphere inviting. The staff were friendly and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend if you're in town and looking for a great meal in a beautiful setting.

The food was delicious, and the service was decent. However, the older gentleman working there could have been a bit friendlier. We were seated at the bar initially, but after some tables became available, they should have moved us, especially since that was my original request.

The worst experience in Vermont, I ordered a Lamb Shank and it looks beautiful but when I cut it, was frozen in the inside! I told the server and she took it back 10 minutes after when my husband has finished his plate and I wasn’t hungry at that time. Even thought it was their mistake and I did not touch the plate they charged us for the hold plate. I will never come back to this place! What an awful experience

This was our first visit to Salute and we loved it. We sat at the bar and the service was very friendly and attentive. The fresh baked bread was hot and tasty and the dipping oil was great. I had the wood fired lasagna which was outstanding - it was the best red sauce that I have had in a long time. The meal was piping hot in a cast iron skillet which kept it hot. My wife had the Chicken Sorrentino which she loved as well. We had a wonderful experience! I highly recommend Salute!
Loved salute! We had the best seats behind the bar facing the restaurant. Great people watching, good bartenders, great food!

Ordered salmon piccata and was completely raw :( I love salmon and have had maybe kinds even making it at home…I sent back and they put it back on the fryer and seared the outside even more and the inside was more cooked but still unable to eat due to the outside being charred. I would’ve thought the staff would have seen this and not charged me for this. I think it would have been more appropriate to give me a fresh salmon and not put the raw salmon back on the same bed of noodles. I am bummed because the decor and atmosphere, even the service was good. But the food was subpar and didn’t finish 1/4 of the meal. Paying this much money for a meal, you should not be leaving bummed and wishing for more. Wont return again.

This place was a solid 4 across the board! Service was great, food was great, and the atmosphere was cozy. I really don't have any complaints. We started with the fried Mozza. The mozza was really good and the marinara complimented it well. I ordered the Pomodoro Linguine with an additional side of meatballs. The meatballs are about the size of a baseball and flavored well. The Pomodoro was good. It didn't knock my socks off, but it was good. Drinks were good, desserts were above average. I had the flourless chocolate cake and my wife had the NY Cheesecake.
