Wonderful restaurant. There are 4 seats that overlook the kitchen. We sat there and really have an appreciation for the skill and hard work. Our meals were delicious.

We did not enjoy our food. Wings were savory but came with joined thighs and drums which is not what you want to deal with in a restaurant. Pork was not tender and the pasta, while good flavored was overcooked and did not hold real relation to the description. Cocktails were amazing!

The bar tender made amazing drinks and interesting conversation. Try the cocktails. The food was well prepared. We had the smoked trout dip, the swordfish and the lamb pasta dish. Each was creative and delicious.

Such an awesome time as usual! Fun bougey vibe, delicious drinks and fantastic food. Just another night at Plate. We will certainly be back! Thanks to the whole squad!

What’s happened to The Plate? It used to be so good, but the food and service have deteriorated. Inedible veggie burger and unfriendly staff. Still a great location though.

We went here for New Year's Eve dinner and they had a prefix menu. Some of the plates were hit or miss but for the cost, just like many of the other reviews say, the quality is just not worth it. Ambience was great and our server was lovely, but for what we paid for the food, it just was not worth it. Many of the other restaurants we went to around town were significantly cheaper and way better. I will say, however, that the gnocchi was fantastic, as was the oyster that we had.

Best restaurant in Stowe, amazing cocktails, excellently prepared and creative appetizers, main plates and desserts. A warm atmospher and excellent service. Really all around an exceptional experience.

The dinner was great. Service was super slow though - we received our meal an hour and 15+ minutes after we sat (and not because we were slow to order). That was fine with us as we were in no rush. But, then minutes after we finished eating, our check came (no dessert offered), and the host came over and asked us to leave our table for the next reservation. It was an abrupt and somewhat unwelcoming way to end a pleasant evening.

All of our food was under or overcooked. After paying the same for dinner at Hen of the wood the night before I felt ripped off. Plate was nowhere near as good and the bill was very expensive.
Waited 1 hour for 3 burgers ordered them rare. Could have cooked it myself in 15 min do not come here place was dead too. 4 tables 2 per person.

My wife and I come through Stowe fairly regularly on our way to Maine. This was a fantastic spot for dinner, I was delighted with the entire meal including the cocktail beforehand.

Beat salad. 10/10 Fritters 9/10 Steak with smoked pototoes. ..steak was delicious...9/10...however potatoes are too overpowering ..took 1 bite. Nah. banana pudding 9/10 solid service ...cool vibe...I'll be back.

Waited over an hour for our food. Waitress never once came over to apologize or let us know what was going on with our food. Things happen. They could have been short staffed or a bunch of other reasons. A simple explanation or even apology when the food came to just recognize the inconvenience would have been good. Been coming here for a while but the vibe is off. Food still good tho
