Such a beautiful place. Staff just looked unhappy, but service was good. Burgers were very overcooked. Rice Bowl was great. Breakfast sandwiches were very good, churro was okay.

Great amenities, great service, great food and beverage. The housekeeping was outstanding, and the views while eating a great breakfast was the icing on the cake. Having the gondola right there to either go up the mountain or across was a huge plus...

Stayed for a business trip in August 2023. Wonderful experience all around. We were here for the ACAM conference and the property was amazing! Thank you for the great service! The pancakes in the restaurant we great as well! The room was huge and the property had many activities. Great for a romantic trip or for a family.

The amenities are good — BUT this place is not up to Hyatt standards whatsoever (with few exceptions), particularly in terms of service and the way they treat elite members. It was so obnoxious (with some exceptions) that I left and went to the Top Notch down the road. I originally had wanted to book another night when I first got to Stowe . . . Had wanted. First, there was a tiny dog in the room next to mine that was yapping all afternoon — and management did nothing. (Lots of dogs.) You could hear it all the way down the hall. Immediately, I went to the front desk and asked them to call the owners. Several hours later, I came back. Still yapping. I called the front desk this time — “Ma’am We sent security to the room and there was no dog.” I asked them if they thought I was lying. Why would I make it up? Would they like me to record it? No, we’ll call. The room walls are thin enough you can hear whispering — and I never heard a phone call. I heard them freak out and start whispering when they heard me call. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, the dog is yapping again. It woke me up. I went to the combining door and just started banging on it, repeatedly, yelling to “stop with the dog already.” That worked. But come on! And you know what I saw in the hall the next morning when housekeeping was cleaning the room — A DOG BED. (And I love dogs — have two of my own, who aren’t obnoxious.). Must not have been my imagination, Front Desk. Second, it was near constant annoyance by staff, acting irritated I was there. For example, I had to work the first morning of my stay. I went to breakfast early — no one was there — and asked if I could sit at a 4 person table to open up my laptop and notes. She, the hostess, sighs. Acts like it is the biggest burden ever. I made a joke about how I have to pay for the trip to make her stop being awful. Didn’t care. No one was there. So awkward. There were some great people — main guy at the spa, night men at the front desk on Friday night, the bar people at the pool on Friday, and some of the valet guys. Truly lovely and welcoming. But there were so many awful people. In summary, one staff member — not any of those people but he was great — told me that you pretty much have to stop showing up to work to get fired. Rings true. He said that the place used to be exceptional but that the new ownership changed everything. Third, I am Explorist (on my way to the highest ranking) because i travel a ton for work. I love Hyatt — so much more than Bonvoy — but not this place. They put me in a garbage room. And it isn’t because they didn’t have others. Bottom floor. Dark. Facing the street. The last morning I asked for a late checkout because I had been out very late. Refused. I went ballistic about how awful they had been to me given my status, and this was one easy thing — and she said, “Ok. Fine. Noon.” Give me a break! Fourth, someone commented on the food for kids. Agreed. Not the usual selection. It was tasty for adults. So I left. Bye, bye.

The Lodge at Spruce Peak was wonderful - best run hotel I have been to in a long time. Beautiful decor, friendly staff, free valet parking, clean, excellent food and beautiful views. I would highly recommend.

My family and I recently drove from the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania to stay at Spruce Peak. Upon arrival the valet staff pointed out a serious issue with my rear wheel. Of course this caused great concern but after Billy the Concierge begin to assist me, I felt calm and that the problem would get solved. His empathy and professionalism was amazing. He was calling mechanics that he knew personally, and was trying to the best of his ability to keep things positive. Every time we cross paths he would ask how he can help or if the car has been repaired yet. Billy always approach the situation from my perspective. I could tell that he placed himself in my position and helped me as a person and not just a guest of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay as our vehicle was repaired and felt that the rest of the staff was also very nice to us and professional but Billy was always there thinking ahead and very helpful. The valet staff was also amazing and very professional.

An idyllic setting for those who need to take their minds off the pressures of the day. Even while on a business trip, I reveled in the beauty of the mountains and grounds and enjoyed the fresh air on the balcony whenever I had time.

The lodge is beautiful, clean, and well located. The staff are amazing and very responsive. The restaurant is the only concern. Although the Alpine Hall has great food and great servers, the hostesses are not that great. We advise to book your table in advance for dinner and get really early for breakfast, as it is not possible to book a table for breakfast. Or plan ahead to go out to eat as the Alpine is always full and has no enough tables available for the people staying at the hotel. Overall, we had an amazing and unique experience at the hotel.

Pros: The resort is beautiful. The staff at the pool bar were so kind and friendly. Cons: If you are traveling with kids who don't have the palette of wealthy adult, you are out of luck. The food is bizarre, extremely overpriced and nothing to rave about. The majority of the staff did not go out of their way. The staff at the tipsy trout, in particular a bartender, whom we had zero contact with, were very odd. As we waited to be seated a group of three staff members stared us down as if they didn't want people in the restaurant. The bartender (whom we had zero contact with) continued to stare at us our entire meal. The hours of the village shops are so bizzare, they are never open and hard to find staff. 17.95 a lb for generic old candy in the candy shop was outrageous. The ice cream hut was out of everything when we went and the staff member said it had been that way for awhile. The hotel advertises that there is so much to do, but unless your a single couple who just wants to hang and drink, there's nothing going on.

Over all it was a great place. The scenery was excellent. We enjoyed the golf course and the hot tub. Although the breakfast were cold the tasted good. Think they should of had warming ovens or something to keep the food warm.

Could not recommend this resort enough. It was incredibly clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, beyond other hotel experiences I have had. Valet parking included in the stay was a lovely touch. The rooms are clean and relaxing. The amenities and spa are wonderful. It’s a must stay for any family travelling and looking for a place to unwind.

From the minute we arrived, everything was looked after by the staff…ski valet service is top notch. The quality of the food, especially the sushi, is world class. The fitness centre and pool/hot tub are a perfect way to end a ski day.

The Lodge at Spruce Peak is a beautiful hotel! The staff were so helpful and pleasant, and the room was very comfortable. Best bed I’ve ever slept on in a hotel, hands down! I especially enjoyed the lounge and views of the mountains.

This resort had something for everyone in the family. This time as just me and my wife to try it out but next time we go back with family. Although primarily a skiing destination there were many other activities for everyone. Staff were extremely helpful. Even though Stowe area has many things to do no need to leave the resort for things to do.

Spruce Peak is an amazing complex. It is it's own little ski village with shops restaurants and entertainment. The perfect location with extremely convenient skiing accommodations. Very helpful, thoughtful, and courteous staff.
