My husband and I recently took our honeymoon to Stowe. We always love finding locally owned, small businesses to support, and I love a good bagel. We visited this shop a few times, and I am absolutely OBSESSED with their energy bagel (pictured). Everyone in the shop is so kind and knowledgable and their maple latte is delicious!!! I hope to go back again, I highly recommend this place!!!

Bagels were solid, but not the best I’ve ever had. I liked the cinnamon sugar bagels, brought me back to old school Panera before they sucked. They did have gluten free bagels and were careful with allergies for my friend.

We go to this place for breakfast at least once or twice every time we visit Stowe. A little on the expensive side but the food quality is excellent.
Vegetarian options: Although I'm not a vegetarian, there are vegetarian options.
Kid-friendliness: I saw a lot of kids there, and I saw the staff being very friendly to them.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's all on one level, so any wheelchair or someone with crutches can get in and out easily. There is also places to sit inside as well as sit outside.

It's rare that I give 1 star reviews, I usually just don't bother, but stop asking for tips, it's inappropriate and puts people on the spot. Look into the credit card machines where a customer can punch in the amount themselves if this is what your business model is. We tipped, but of course we still had to clean up after ourselves. I thought about just leaving our garbage on the table since we paid for "service" but that's not our style and not fair for the next customers.
As for the bagels, meh, obviously not to our Montreal bagel standards.

"Tips are appreciated!" here. I know this because there are signs everywhere. And other reviews note, they ask if you'd like to leave a tip on the card. 1. You gave me an empty cup to pour coffee into myself, and some put lox spread on an untoasted bagel. No, not tipping for that; 2. If I wanted to, I would tell you. And asking is more obnoxious than the Toast screens with a recommended amount; 3. If you're going to take this approach, greet customers with a smile; 4. Employees in a self-service restaurant should be paid enough to avoid commercial panhandling. And they likely are. VT has a high minimum wage.
I was here a few times last ski season. These practices were not in place. Maybe a new owner?
The bagels and spreads are good. The customer experience is not.

Ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches that came out to $20.26 total with tip since they asked if we wanted to leave one. We waited 30 minutes to receive 2 extremely greasy sandwiches on stale bagels, so disappointed given how expensive they were and how long we waited. I hope next time we come to Stowe we can find a breakfast sandwich with fresh eggs and bacon that’s not microwaved!
