Our first spot on our trip and I can say the food was amazing and fresh. The sever had our water coming to our table before we can sit down and children cups for my kids. Errin our serve was extremely sweet and held great conversation. The music playing was on point. Coming from New York City I wasn’t expecting to hear the genre of music. If you’re in the area I highly recommend The Bench.

The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary, but well made. Tried chicken wings, burger, salmon tacos and poutine. The mashed potatoes that came as a side was extra ordinary though, perfectly creamy with well balances flavors! I would recommend the old fashioned from their cocktails list.
Now coming to the 2stars for the service. Nothing wrong with our server, she was great and accommodating. But, the initial experience with the front desk was very very bad. We were told to expect a 30-ish mins wait, which was fine. After initial 30mins, we had to wait for another 30mins, as they were waiting for a table to fit our party of 6. They continued to sit parties of 2 and 4 in the meantime. After a total wait of an hour, they seated us at a standard 4 person table, with two extra chairs. If that's what they were gonna do, they could have done that 30mins ago. This just dampened the overall mood, and we were unable to enjoy our meal.
May be we will give it another try when I am in the Stowe area next.

Great service, food was good. We were there off season, so the atmosphere was hard to judge but it was fine. No problems, server was very pleasant and upbeat, seemed pretty happy to see every one that was there, which was really nice! (Sorry that we didn’t get her name)

Location was so good, had too visit twice! Each plate was packed with flavor! Burgers were top notch and both the duck fries and poutine fries were slam dunks! Jen our waitress was super friendly, visited us many times and was a great listener. Will be back in Stowe during busy season and can’t wait to bring others to this great restaurant!

The food was so good. The pizza with the apple and arugula is so good. Scallops were in a green sauce that was delicious. Everyone was lovely. Get there early if you don't want to wait for a table. Tacos were good as well. Salmon was a tab over cooked. Moscow Mule was good and si was the dirty
