Having read some recent reviews, I was a little concerned but am very glad that we decided to dine at The Bistro at Ten Acres. We all had delicious meals and excellent service. We were there on the weekend during the winter kids school vacation week, so the restaurant was busy. The atmosphere was relaxing and we did not wait very long for anything from the moment we entered the restaurant. The Pomegranate Martinis were excellent. My daughter and I both had the Chicken Estelle but substituted mashed potatoes for the Rice Pilaf. We both thought it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the Trapps Bohemian Pilsner said his hamburger was also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely go back again when visiting Stowe.
Took over an hour to get food for four people and the burgers were way overcooked despite being listed on the menu as medium. Mediocre and not worth the money.
Loved this little gem. We drove by decided to dine. Had the filet. 10 out of 10 will recommend. Perfectly cooked, super tasty.
We ate dinner here the week of Thanksgiving and had a fantastic time and meal! Would highly recommend the restaurant!
Extremely rude waiter, took an hour and a half to get our meal, in the meantime the table next to us turned over twice and both times they were seated after us. When I told the waiter I was diabetic and had already injected and my blood sugar was low he didn’t even try to help, finally got our mediocre meal and I asked for the manager, he returned with our bill and I asked for the manager again, this time he said he was the manager (didn’t believe him) I asked him to reduce our bill and he said he couldn’t, I asked again and he said he would ask ( why did he have to ask if he was the manager?) came back and slammed the check on the table, it was discounted a little, then he ignored us when we had our credit card out, we finally put cash on the table and left. We will not return

We arrived at the restaurant and were seated at. 7. Our waiter gave us a glass of water then left. He came back and asked if we would like a drink. We said 'yes' and then we had to ask him for a drink menu. First he said he couldn't find a menu,then he disappeared and came back later (about 5 minutes) with the drink menu. He left again, came back in a few minutes and asked what we wanted to drink. We told him, he left and came back with our drinks. It is now about 7:20. We ordered our dinners. At 8:00 he said he would check on our meals. He came back and said he put a rush on them! We didn't get our meals until 8:30! The meal was great, the service was at best AWFUL. We asked to talk to the manager, he said he was the manager ( we don't believe him). Don't go to this place!
I had the chicken Estelle and it was just okay. The sauce wasn’t great. the rice was good, but spicy. Others had the salmon which was good and the burger. It wasn’t fantastic, Just okay. But too expensive for just okay. The food also took over 40 minutes to come to the table.

We had an average sized party and they warned us that it might be slower than usual. That was no problem and an hour and a half later we got our average meal. When we left the server called our daughter over and complained about her tip which was 13.00 below average and wasn’t the one paying the bill. She was rude to her and she had no say in the bill or tip. All the adults rose to the occasion and gave her what she wanted but we’ll never return.

This has been a go-to for years but something went wrong with this last visit. We were seated for 20 minutes before drinks and the mussels appetizer arrived and it was over an hour after that before the food came. And no service for another drink while waiting. Someone, or maybe more, on staff didn't show up for work or left unexpectedly. The food was good but overshadowed by the glacial pace of the service. The waitress was apologetic at first and a bit snarky after I sought out the manager, who was apparently backfilling in the kitchen. Maybe the waft wasn't just from the cows across the street.

We had a terrible experience dining at the restaurant. We’ve been seated at a hard to reach room without music and no service. Every time we need to go to the kitchen in order to ask questions for our server and our food. Been waiting for more than an hour and nothing came after ordering. We been asking if they could bring kids pasta first but the sever is just telling me that he doesn’t know what to tell me. I see this is unacceptable for a restaurant like this. This is just bad service and bad dining experience.
We ended up waited for 2 hrs and didn’t have our meal. We had to leave without having the dinner (all of us are starving) because it’s way past our kids bed time with no sign that our food is coming. We heard the kitchen is understaffed which leads to the disaster of serving their customers.

This place has fallen off a cliff. Some of the worst service I’ve had at a restaurant.
We had a perfect dinner at the Bistro. Food was all excellent (especially the pork chop) and the patio atmosphere with live music, view of the mountains, flowers, and friendly cows across the street all made for a great evening.
