Great place to stay in Stowe. Very close to food shops and the mountain. Can walk to some things and take the shuttle to the mountain easily. Very clean rooms and nice staff. Would definitely

We had a great time at the Grey fox inn! The room was clean and spacious. Beds were firm but comfy. The pool, sauna and hot tub were great after a long day of being outside. About 10 minutes from Stowe ski resort and super close to a bunch of restaurants. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Inn was amazing. The entrance was warm and welcoming. The front desk clerk was kind and helpful. Checking in didnt take a lot of time. The property was well kept and the rooms were neat and tidy. Our room had a little kitchenette that was supplied with everything you would need to make coffee and toast or a nice lunch. The pool/sauna/hot tub area was clean and my son loved the lights in the pool. The TV was super user friendly. The hotel is literally a two minute walk to Cady Hill Forest where there are the most beautiful walking trails around Stowe. And the famous "Stowe recreational path" runs right behind the hotel! Its located close to most of the top rated restaurants in the area. Our family loved our stay at Grey Fox Inn and cannot wait to return next fall. 5/5 Way to go.

Awesome place! We stayed in the 2 queen with the kitchenette. Was very clean and comfortable. Loved the bigger bathtub and the kitchenette!Walkability: Was about a mile from downtown Stowe, but super walkable to some restaurants right next door and up the street!

Site pictures are grossly misleading and our experience was one of the worst nightmares we've ever had. After driving six hours we were Shocked and astonished, to say the least! We booked what looked like a very nice room (with a fireplace) for over $300 a night but ended up having one of the worst hotel experiences of our lives. - I think the Ramada Inn would've been a far more better experience. At arrival we had to wait over half hour for the front desk attendant to resolve keycards issues. The hotel wanted customers to download an app to unlock the room door but the app didn’t work and the attendant refused to give them an actual keycard and kept sending customers back to their room to keep trying to unlock the door using the app but customers kept coming back complaining they couldn’t get in their rooms. (This happened with at lease 4 customers while we stood there waiting). Not sure why handing good old keycards was an issue for this establishment, but it was a huge inconvenience for customers. When we were finally checked in and headed to our room, we were shocked to find out, that our room was located in the basement and worse than that, it had not been cleaned and it was gross! It also seem like there were no windows; so, NO fire scape in the event of one. When we went back up to the front desk to demand to get a different room, we were told they couldn’t get us a different room and that we needed to wait for housekeeping to clean our room. This was around 6:30 PM; there was no housekeeping available; so, the very rude hotel manager decided to get an employee (seemed to be sort of the grounds keeper) to clean the room; who arrived half asleep and wearing Baby Yoda pijamas. This is most unusual and was very unsettling for us and so we requested a refund and figured it would be better to pay double the money elsewhere than to ever consider sleeping in the gross/death trap room. After arguing with the front desk attendant and manager for hours they agreed to refund us and luckily we were able to stay elsewhere at a much higher rate but at least we were able to sleep peacefully. There is no way I can ever consider staying here. The only good thing this establishment has is an amazing graphic designer who photoshops pictures really really good as most of the pics online are grossly misleading.Rooms: Pictures on the portal are grossly misleading.

The newer section was lovely and balconies faced a walking trail that was just a short walk. Rooms were so comfortable and modern. Another family member had a two bedroom suite that was over the top. Long ranch table, couch, huge tv. washer and dryer along with kitchen. Both bedrooms had bathrooms. It was like being on restaurant row. Many were just a mile or two away and many cuisines offered. Housekeeping at hotel was great. Reception Mgr was very pleasant and offered local tips.

Looks like the rooms were renovated recently and nicely done. Very clean.

Best place to stay on Mountain Road. Walkable to great restaurants, cafes, and the free mountain shuttle. Loved our in-room (propane) fireplace and panoramic windows. Inn connects to the recreation path; we walked it to Stowe Village. Beautiful snow weather!

My son fractured his foot, so I called to check on cancellation policy. Because I was 13 days and not 14 days prior to the reservation, they refused to cancel and refund me my 50% deposit even with medical documentation. Would highly recommend finding a more compassionate place to stay.

Horrible service. Beds are lumpy. Card locks and openkey do not work, finicky. We were locked in the indoor pool, they expected us to walk outside without shoes back into the hotel in the cold or wait for the locksmith. Ended up walking out in the cold after an hour of waiting for the locksmith. The front desk was also not very helpful, and shouted on the phone regarding the pool situation. Showers do not work properly. Also very loud, walls are paper thin. Would not stay here again. The only positive was the location and the size of the room.
