Very small menu can not deviate from menu No onions for omelettes We usually Love limited menus just means what they make is usually good People came in and ordered after us They came and went before our food came out We waited almost an hour everyone else was served we finally walked out told the waitress we couldn't wait any longer. Alls she said was sorry didn't mention our food was coming out soon I wonder if she even put the order in. I understand being short handed she looked a little frazzled at that point but we where one of the first people in the restaurant and received nothing and everyone else was feed. We Came here because they where one of the first to open in the area needed to get an early breakfast before getting out for our hike That didn't happen We considered getting up and leaving many times as we waited for our food Unbelievable how long it took and the only thing we got was a cup of tea Left $3 for tea and walked out

Service and food were terrible. It was slow in the restaurant and yet I still couldn’t get a water. Asked three times and still didn’t get it.I seriously thought I was being pranked. No one at my table received any drinks until well after food arrived.Food took a bit and came out wrong.Lots of other options in the area, I would definitely look elsewhere

Horrible Service with a smile. Couldn’t find server. Not busy, maybe 3 people inside. Bad quality food, overcooked bacon. Potatoes with no seasoning at all. WAY OVERPRICED. $50 for eggs and bacon.

The Nest was a complete disappointment. Incompetent servers, greasy eggs, lukewarm coffee, creamers gone sour, burnt toast, poor maple syrup, no artificial sugar(I'm diabetic), and the BEST YET--NO UTENSILS. NO UTENSILS UNTIL AFTER FOOD WAS SERVED AND I ASKED FOR THEM. Then a 10 min wait for our check. Never had a worse dining experience in Stowe.

The restaurant was clean and attractive. They had jazz playing and the hostess, Jo was very pleasant. We were the only two people in the place, which is not that unusual in VT. The coffee was not bad.The kitchen staff was remarkably slow, especially given that they only had two meals to prepare. The food came out wrong and cold. Jo was very apologetic and attempted to make things right, as the kitchen prepared each corrected item and sent them out one at a time, poorly prepared.I’m all for homemade turkey sausage, but if you don’t know how to actually blend the seasonings with the meat, call it a turkey burger and keep it moving.I’m sure it would be tasty if served hot or even warm, but I guess I’ll never know. This place really brings the rest of the resort down and should be overhauled or shutdown.

Awesome food and service!

Service was prompt and friendly and food was generally good, however they claim all local food products and don’t deliver. The bread was advertised as the local Red Hen Bakery which I am very familiar with and it was simply one slice of standard cheap store bought thin bread, so a star off for false advertising. Good thing it came with the meal, as they charge $7 for a side order of toast!

Food was pretty good. Definitely seemed way understaffed when I visited since the waitresses took at least 15 min to take our order and an extra 20 to give us the check after we finished.

Delicious breakfast

The below reviews scared us a bit to try this place, but we wanted pancakes so tried it today...and so glad we did. Excellent coffee and the 4 of us adults each got something different-- from the hash and pecan pancakes to the eggs any style....all delicious! Enjoyed watching their chickens run around outside, too.

First, let me acknowledge our wonderful servers, Jo and Marylou, who were courteous and professional at the NEST. Now, the buffet dinner we were served the first night was plentiful and delicious. Then the next morning we were served cold eggs, poorly cooked bacon, hard croissants, to list a few, which put a damper the rest of the day. However, the food did not improve and it was included in the event package. If I return to this venue, I will not eat at the Nest.

This is my second visit to The Nest. I was here in November 2019. I ate breakfast all 3 days in 2019 and loved everything. This past visit was awful. Not sure what happened to the previous chef, but please get him/her back. I arrived for breakfast this visit and was presented with a buffet style, uninspired few trays of breakfast standards: scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and Costco croissants. I think there was english muffins too. One double toaster (with 2 of the 4 slots not working) was not enough for a group of hungry guys trying to breath life into the Covid-19 croissants. I didn't bother with the pancakes because there wasn't any syrup that I could see. Even though our Nest breakfasts were included in the package price we paid, the next 2 breakfasts were much better: we ate elsewhere both days. Our group had an evening meal and dinner show too, so we came back for the dinner. It was no better, in fact I feel that it was potentially unhealthy. I watched the chef bring out GIGANTIC slabs of a chicken breast to place on each friend's bowl of pasta. When each of them complained the chicken was raw in the middle, the chef came back out in a huff, grabbed the plates of chicken/pasta and took them back to the kitchen. He emerged a few minutes later with the same plates of pasta and made sure we all heard him say "Here, now you can have overcooked chicken" and proceeded to lay down the same plates with the same pasta and overcooked chicken breasts on top of the pasta that had previously had uncooked chicken on top it! Of course, no one ate this health-code (if its not, it should be) violation. Others had pork chops that were dry as a bone. Some of us had acceptable salmon entrees. We all had the over-charred roasted vegetables. The rice was fine (the highlight of the entree.) And actually the blueberry buckle for dessert was good too. In hindsight, had I knew he made it known he has homophobic, I wouldn't have eaten a single meal there. Jo and Marylou were serving and were absolutely wonderful. The chef, not so much.
